I got an update on Six Shot off of Facebook. According to a retailer Hasbro is holding the figure back, nobody knows why. Maybe it has something to do with people having a hard time finding Soundwave?

Odd... the only reason I can think of is that they found an inherent problem with Sixshot of some kind, and they're awaiting the running changes to be finished

We are aware of some concern among the collecting fandom about the scarcity of Titans Return wave 2 Leader Class Soundwave, with Titan Master Sounblaster - but thanks to fellow Seibertronian Impulse, we have news of him being in stock at HasbroToyShop, as well as the previous report on him being on Amazon.com! Happy weekend remote hunting.

but they might take more of the Blaster/Optimus wave as they are completely sold out of PM Optimus and mostly sold out of Blaster.

I think Sixshot on his own and indeed Sky Shadow on his own would sell just fine as they both do enough to capture customer interest.

But some retailers really might like another mix like Sixshot & Optimus or Sixshot & SkyShadoow.

Frankly Hasbro are crazy if they don't make more PM Optimus - they made the same school boy error with Combiner Wars Optimus too.

I'd suggest they re-make Wave 1 & 2 Deluxes and wave 1 leaders and re-offer them towards the end of the line or if there is a delay in the lines release internationally offer some then.

Sure someone could try and find them "somewhere" like Australia or Russia but it's like I said about regional needs - in the UK they NEED more Powermaster Optimus Prime stock.

How many sales did they loose out on by him being completely out of stock before Xmas and there being barely a sniff of any Voyagers until late December 2016 and Voyagers wave 1 & 2 are still really hard to locate in the UK short of some specialist retailers.

That retailers don't have them is mystifying - they have plenty of those RID Sdeswipe, Bumblebee & Optimus with the minicons on them though - you can't help but trip over them at online retail.

It would make sense to put PM OP in a revision wave at some point. Then again, maybe they don't want to confuse kids by having two different Optimus toys in different size classes out at once? I dunno. Hasbro works in mysterious ways.

Just read Spotlight: Metroplex thanks to the current Comixology sale and it reminded me just how much I love IDW Sixshot. Goddammit I need this guy now.

Erm....i don't think Soundwave is scarce in the UK! but that may not be the case in other countries & regions

Before I get into replies, I am just curious about something, how does it help anyone here that Soundwave is now on HTS? I ask because people have been lamenting that he isnt found in stores and are waiting to see him in a store to buy him. They knew Amazon had him on sale (albeit a minor one) and chose to wait to see him in stores. And now we have news that he is available at another place online for more than amazon, so... how does that change anything? Is there anyone reading this that was waiting for him to show up on HTS to now buy him there right now? This just really confuses me. I personally just buy for the cheapest and soonest possible and that usually means in stores. But if I can get it online before finding it in stores and find it cheaper there too, then I will get it there. I just dont get why HTS is anything important, especially compared to Amazon. They are late and more expensive, so how does that benefit anyone?

I havent found those to be issues with mine. The main issue for me is how fiddly the attachment points are in spaceship mode for the legs when you want to center them. And the landing gear is super tight and adds to how fiddly that part is.

So to make sure the case assortments aren't stressed out?

So this is not like combiner wars right off the bat. At this point the only leader not reissued is Blaster.

Canada got both those waves, the initial wave 2 with 2 soundwaves and the revision wave 2 with both Soundwave and Prime. I dont know if that revision wave will hit the UK, it should come before Sixshot.

Hasbro themselves do not have any more Optimus Leaders, they told me themselves:

It was one of them, yeah - AHM also had a handful of spotlights that ran alongside it to give some expansion on characters that were involved or story elements. Metroplex, Cliffjumper, Jazz, Blurr and Drift - I think that was all of them. To be honest I think all of them are better than AHM itself, not that that's very difficult.
Despite it's name, Spotlight: Metroplex focused more on Sixshot and the Throttlebots. It didn't exactly give much more to Sixshot's character but seeing him in action again just rang a bell in my head; how he's my favourite pre-DOOP IDW character.

We are seeing PMOP and Blaster in Target, Walmart and TRU here in Oregon -- still haven't given in to temptation with PMOP, as I'd rather have Ginrai.

There was still a PM Prime in Forbidden Planet in Cambridge when I was there a couple weeks ago. Passed on it cos I much prefer Takara's version even if it is expensive. Friend bought the Hasbro version for half price in TK Maxx around christmas time and got Blaster for same price too.

I wonder: is the line just this popular, or are they making fewer figures? I meant it's one thing to have to really hunt for a tail-end of the line figure, but wave 3?

Scotty predicted that a while back, saying that the stores would have so much of wave 1 and 2 they might not order as much for wave 3. But in this case, it seems stores dont have any regardless.

But these are first quarter toys so technically, you should only panick if they dont appear in the first quarter, which we arent even in halfway yet. These toys are meant to be on shelves from January to March, so they still have 2 months to show up.

Can't speak for everyone, but I have good luck with HTS in terms of getting stuff at a good price (if I'm willing to wait). They have figures at the suggested MSRP or cheaper. Combined with a discount code that usually isn't hard to come across, and it's usually a good deal even factoring in tax and assuming you get free shipping. The threshold for free shipping is pretty low too, and at least to nyc, shipping is fast. So generally speaking I like HTS.

Nope Soundwave is plentiful in certain stores - it's Optimus you can not get.

I was hoping the new/forthcomming Titanmaster Optimus would be seen as a complement to the previous Optimus toys not a confusion.

Anyway the metric ton of RID Bumblebee toys out at the same time would be plenty more confusing.
Heck they have two (or more) different One-Step bees on the shelves at the same time.

1) I have not seen any evidence that Soundwave has shipped in the revised case format in the UK with Optimus it seems he's only shipped in single character case form.
That he's so overstocked by doing that is why I'm concerned for Sixshot and Sky Shadow.

As soon as I see an Amazon or eBay listing under £40.00 I'm buying them online as I have no confidence they are going to even show up - CW leaders didn't until they were clearance (Likely imports).

2) Massage as in "Massage the figures" (in a financial sense)- I guess that is a unintended pun there then if applied to Action Figures.

I've seen a single Soundwave at a few different locations over the last month or so. If you're wondering where all the PMOP went; they're at our TRU. They have 20-30 each of PMOP and Blaster. They also have all the TF pegs stuffed to the hilt with the RID wave that included Windblade. All of the Walmarts here are overflowing with that deluxe revision wave that excludes Wolf wire. The more I hunt the more puzzled and frustrated I become.

I dunno about that? coz i'm getting the impression that people in general are holding off on getting Sky Shadow in order to get that mold as Overlord or to go even further...prob hold off til the Takara Tomy version comes out & if that's the case...it'll prob be something along the lines of what happened with Generations Roadbuster....meaning that he was in plentiful supply...and just shelfwarmed...coz noone was interested in buying the figure, or they had bought it & there were far too many of them left over, so just shelfwarmed

There are plenty of Soundwaves and Optimus Primes in my toys r us's of Canada its Blaster we lack here but there was plenty in the beginning so anyone who would want one has probably bought one.

So it's just inconsistency in other areas in the world that explains the lack of Soundwave


We also have plenty of Six Shots (more then 6 of them!) in our Walmarts or at least they did a couple weeks ago I don't know about now.
