I'd like to add that the 1986 Autobot Cars - Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr - also fit in here, alongside Scourge. Maybe Hasbro figured that was enough of a 'counterpart' to the Decepticon Targetmasters, hence why we're not getting the actual Autobot Targetmasters.

There's a few other sets too.
Cassettes - Rewind, Stripes, Laserbeak, Ravage, Rumble, technically Buzzsaw
Cassette Players - Soundwave and Blaster. These could probably go with the above
Minibots - Wheelie, Bumblebee, Brawn, Seaspray, Cosmos, technically Roadburn
Powermasters - Breakaway, PM OP
Duo-Cons - Sky Shadow, Overlord

And, as alternatives to the above based on fiction...

Phase-Sixers - Sixshot, Sky Shadow, Overlord
Wreckers - Kup, Perceptor, Broadside, Top Spin, Twin Twist, technically Arcee

And then you've got a handful of outsiders like Alpha Trion that don't really fit into any category. Fun times!

Mind you, categorizing is strictly done at one's own taste. There's some give and take with figures that belong to multiple groups, Topspin and Twin Twist are Jumpstarters and Broadside is a Triple Changer for instance, but one could combine them into a Wreckers category if one were to be so inclined (and is able to get Roadbuster, Whirl, Sandstorm and Springer). Not gonna count Kup, Perceptor, or Arcee towards them though.

I just made things worse, didn't I?

Most certainly! I just like, rather ironically, categorising the official categories. But I think at the end of the day the point is if getting one figure would tempt you to get an entire category, you can easily mitigate that by choosing a smaller category of your liking.

Nothing wrong with that. He was also the only Jumpstarter I had as a kid, AND my Dad brought him home from Toy Fair for me in 1980whateverish. I coudn't be more psyched for this fig, and now I finally get to have the pair.

Anybody else think Top Spin and TwinTwist sound like a super dope breakdancing team from the 80's? Just me?

Great pics RC13! ;)^

Twin Twist also holds nostalgic appeal for me despite growing up in the Unicron Trilogy era -- I got either him or a KO of him (very possible, the Jumpstarters were KO'd to heck and back) from a car boot sale, so he's my first G1 :D I also had a Beachcomber and a Brawl, so this trilogy is proving to be strangely nostalgic for me.

Get a load of this! Age of Extinction Voyager class Galvatron is, by complete fortuitous coincidence, Titan Master-compatible!

Well this is fun.

My kid flipped AOE Galvatron's head back and found a hole on the bottom of the neck that fits Titan Masters. Kinda neat.

Neat!
Probably not intended to be like that, but it's a cool surprise feature.
Bet Cogman would look cool on him.

Transformers Titans Return Voyager Repacks Confirmed

The word from Hasbro is that Slugslinger is the final toy from Titans Return to be revealed with the rest being repackaged figures. What would that mean for other classes though, how would that be handled and which repackaged figures would we be getting? Well, a lising on Entertainment Earth reveals that the Christmas restock for Voyagers will consist of a case of Titans Return Optimus Prime and Octone as well as Titans Return Megatron and Broadside. This is an easy way to have the most popular Transformers Character on the shelves around the Holiday shopping season.

Two of the same mold as the only ones in a wave. That's... an interesting decision.

I find it somewhat hilarious that the TR Optimus Prime Voyager and the TR Octone retool are selling together. Mold mates for the win I guess. XD

I agree with Twintwist, he looks awesome! And my love for the Wreckers makes him an instant buy anyway. Plus the mold is fantastic

There goes that unrealistic glimmer of hope that we might still get Apeface and Snapdragon to send off this line. Well, at least my wallet will be happy to recoup before PotP starts.

Reminds me of when Generations FOC had a wave of just Soundwave and Soundblaster.

It's not like if they never sold CW megatron and CW Armada Megatron together..

Sheesh....if there gonna waste infinte plastic, cant they just make the blitzwing in brown and magenta and give is flywheels? They already got the head. Same color scheme just swap the beige with brown and magenta with purple. No extra money spent. Hasbro is stupid. Really... :BANG_HEAD:

That's not really how that works...plus if they were going to make him then he wouldn't have been considered for the purposed Botcon 2017

Maybe they think it wouldnt sell as well as the most popular triple changers and the two faction leaders.

Plus, it actually would be extra money spent since (parts of) Titan Masters are gang-molded with (parts of) whoever they come with, in this case Skytread with his drone and Megatron/Blitzwing with Doomshot/Hazard. In other words, they can not be freely switched out at the same expense. TakaraTomy and FunPub may be willing to go that route, but not Hasbro.

Given we're probably getting a "proper" Flywheels for PotP (we're certainly getting a Battletrap) I'd say a Blitzwing-into-Flywheels would be totally redundant.

Myself I'm just salty we aren't getting Blitzwing's other two faces. I mean yeah there's Shapeways but it's still a missed opportunity.

Not to mention money spent on design and colour layouts. You still have to pay people to do those no matter how small a job -- a re-issue, no matter how little differences it might have from a possible redeco, will cost less.

And if I was hasbro and would like to do flywheels with a TR remold, I would use Skyshadow's base mold, more logical.

The Original Blitzwing only had one face.

I don't mind if they make a small POTP one but a TR Blitzwing/Flywheels is something I do not object to at all. It would at least slightly complement the botcon toy (though the T30 one would have been a better match)

The idea of TR version is possibly a better match for a Battle Trap based on an as yet unmade Voyager Springer with some sort of implemented gimmick to him.

I don't really see an issue with them issuing a Flywheels in another giftset anyway or even using a TR mould or a mould variation in the main Voyager POTP line - I don't think all Voyagers need to be Secret Combiner Torso - they could just as easily have some other line gimmick implemented in them.. even something as simple as a bit of armour.

I don't even really need him to have a new face either -though the extra effort would be appreciated.

Size alone would make a Voyager Flywheel useful to me. But it being an upgrade to the platinum Blitzwing would be an added bonus too.
