Just thoughts. Typed out loud.

Leak says deluxe for both. For such a 1987-centric line we're getting a lot of 1985 dudes...

I really think there's a good chance he'll get a new mold. Although he isn't even rumored yet, they could easily retool him into Twintwist. Boom you got your two mold uses.

At first I was going to say that wouldn't work nearly as well as it did in the '80s, but something just occurred to me. Supposedly we're supposed to get Pounce and Wingspan in this line so what if Top Spin and Twin Twist are pre-re-molds of Fastlane and Cloudraker? It would take a lot of tweaking to make that actually work, but Hasbro and Takara Tomy have apparently learned magic to make this line so anything is possible.

Emerje
If not that then Blurr and Brainstorm would make a decent Classics-style updated Fastlane and Cloudraker.

I am very happy. Finally I have found and bought Wave 1 Titanmasters, Scourge, and Buzzsaw.

It'd be neat if they sold Fastlane and Cloudraker in a two-pack. Probably won't happen, but it'd be nice.

So... a bunch more lame :BOT:'s I couldn't give a toss about - save Runaway or whomever, he looks awesome - only one's I'm looking forward to are Quake (maybe), Krok (assuming they work out the plethora of qc issues plaguing that mold) and Shuffler, love Lione, can't wait to see what they do with Shuffler :-?

I think plethora is being a bit overly dramatic. Tighten up the hip and thigh joints with some scotch tape or squares of a napkin. Takes 45 seconds. Figure is now outstanding.

Perhaps, but I've heard a lot of people saying the pins are loose, ya can't fix those, and that the soft plastic covering is derformable... gotta wonder if TT are going with a solid trans plastic for that part on theirs, it might be worth it just to be worry-free

Reports from people who have the takara one in-hand say it's the same plastic.

I've had a lot of luck tightening up pin joints with future floor polish.

I avoided Skullsmasher because so many people said it was terrible. It's not. Easily fixed issues and then you have an outstanding figure that is so much fun.

Really? But it's translucent, so it's translucent soft plastic? bummer

The hatch isn't translucent, but it is soft. I just don't put the titanmaster inside the gator mode anymore and I don't have to worry about it. Haven't had trouble with pins on mine, but I fixed the mushroom and ball joints in the legs with the floor polish method. Still have 'em pop off at the ball every once in awhile but he's much more stable now.

on the legends figure? Look's pretty translucent to me...

Ah, I was going by the comment that said they were the same plastic. Hasbro's is definitely opaque and soft. Takara's looks much different, I would have thought it was hard plastic since it's translucent but maybe not. Bummer.

I'd still recommend him though, both versions seem pretty decent. Beast mode is huge for a deluxe, very imposing. And as long as something doesn't go horribly wrong I think the panel is safe from deformation. Mine sits perfectly flush and in place. If I store the titanmaster I just clamp the head between the gator jaws or stick him on a peg since you can't see through the Has version anyway. Doesn't matter if he's in there or not.

From the Legends thread.

Cyberpath wrote:Skullcruncher has some rubbery parts.. why? Don't those get sticky and gross real fast? Should I apply Future to them?

I wonder if that pic is a prototype, 'cause it looks translucent to me too. Would have been really nice. But in-hands report other wise.
I did notice that the Legends version's tongue is painted red. (tongue and teeth are rubber too).
the paint is a nice touch though.

Krok can be done from Skullsmasher; replace the gator head with a cockpit that snaps onto the ball joint, replace the gator legs and claws with wings of some sort, and loose the tail. It won't be pretty, but it'll work.

I've heard a rumor that the poor quality of TR instructions, is due to a Hasbro employee sticking it to them on the way out the door, or the person was fired because the instructions came out bad.

I'd love to get the Topspin/Twintwist duo.

I find it odd that Nautica is not mentioned yet considering she was rumored as well. Maybe one of those guys is meant to be in the next wave (like one of the repaints) and because the mold is pretty well already good since it is a repaint with a new face, they could list it as nearly done/ready.

I really look forward to Kup and Perceptor. I will turn down Krok if he's Skullsmasher repainted. That's too big a bummer for me

Nah. Hasbro loves their retools and repaints WAY too much to throw an easy one away like that; especially when these are supposed to be a duo.
