Been looking for this mold for like............forever! (using Ryan's images as reference) One version I saw in ebay was the Euro version Sureshot which costs like US$100 sealed.

Never really like Laser Optimus :SICK: ( but own the awesome CR Black Convoy version 8-) )so Hero was kind of my top 5 most wanted.

Anyways, I managed to score the JP version from Japan, 2nd hand boxed but not sealed at US$ 48.00 including shipping. So for those who own one, is there anything I have to look out for in terms of structural weakness or is he just as good a fig?

I hope I made the right choice. :PRAY:

I've never noticed any of mine to have obvious weak points. The gimmick weapon doesn't always stay put or fire as well as would be desired, but they were like that out of the package anyway and it varies from sample to sample.

I've got one. He's been used and abused for over 20 years and still intact. Not sure of any weaknesses though

I've never seen any weaknesses in mine. He's a great fun figure.
Though not as awesome as Laser Prime.

Thanks guys for allaying my fears. Btw Burn, I thought that way too initially about Laser Prime, but the pink light saber does not look good on old Op. The hand ax all the way but color him teal with red optics, he makes a good "Darth Vader"

Just picked him up. For a 20 year old toy, no yellowing yet (Got it from Japan btw). Didn't realize he was the same scale as the original G1 figure.

Any beef I have with the figure is that the air hose is too short when you mount the billow with the accordion part on top to his back.

Really like the face design and the arm mounted launcher(wish it was removable gives Optimus a Megs like appearance).

Weird thing, the box calls him Prime of Justice G2 yet there are no Autobot sigils (G1 or G2).

Also, in the package, he is transformed in robot form with a somewhat dramatic in box pose.

Aside from the hose, what do you think of him? Worth the purchase?

For US$ 47.55 including shipping.........slam bang! He also has a hip swivel and light piping. If I'm OCD on the fig, maybe have the cab part molded blue to reflect Optimus' red, white and blue as in all his incarnations.

The item wasn't MISB. More like Mint in Opened Box (crease in the inner flap). Now I can't help but try and track down that mini blue Megatron tank too 8-}

I must admit, while I'm not too fond of the somewhat dumpy robot mode, I LOVE the truck mode on this thing. IIRC it got a Scourge/Black Convoy repaint too.

(Disclaimer: I don't actually own this toy.)
