still, if they did happen to fall into hot water, i'm pretty sure the large toy company would win...... i mean if they REALLY wanted to they could probably sue most third party companies out of existence....

They could (maybe, this is China) but in the process they'd go bankrupt.

If they even tried to go after the 3P market, they'd not only most likely lose, but they'd probably lose exclusive rights to the Transformers brand. Whether or not you agree with that being a good thing is up to you, but I would just like to point out that the US copyright system is only in the ridiculous state it is today because a certain mouse-loving corporation refuses to allow a nearly hundred-year-old cartoon to go into the public domain.

Now I doubt that HasTak and Maketoys will come to blows because again, it's a known fact that HasTak and 3Ps are fairly chill with each other and have numerous "gentlemen's agreements" but if sparks DID fly it wouldn't be that cut and dried.

actually, maketoys is one of the very few 3p company that, while the product stamp itself said made in china, the company itself is located in japan. which means, whiel they are out of hasbro's reach, takara could actually pull something off. altough takara so far sees no reason to sue them, as they didn't hurt the official market that much. and as long as maketoys don't sue them for this giant-inspired devy, there's no reason for takara to make a move. and i don't think maketoys will do that either. they are not stupid to wake a sleeping tiger.

I don't think Maketoys has a leg to stand on. I mean not only is Giant obviously inspired by Devy, but this statue shares no actual moulding with Giant. It just looks like him, same way Giant looks like Devy.

As someone who own Giant and pairs him with the official Combiner Wars stuff, I think it's cool that it's look inspired this.

New Image of Upcoming Imaginarium Art Devastator

Just under two weeks ago, Imaginarium Art shared a few images of their current project, a licensed Devastator statue first revealed in February this year. Now they're back again, with another image of the Constructicon combiner from their Facebook page!

While the original renders showed a vastly different design, and recent images of the revamped design only revealed his torso, right arm (Scavenger) and lower legs, this new picture gives us a much better look at everything from his waist up! There's also a hint of something being beaten up in the lower-right corner, though it's not yet clear what - or who - this poor punching-bag is.

What do you think about this new, more dynamic look at the statue? Will you be going all-in on this green giant, or staying away from the construction zone this time around? Share your thoughts below - and as always, don't forget to stay tuned to Seibertron.com for any updates on this or anything else Transformers!

Shame I have neither the money, space nor inclination to buy this because it looks amazing and it's based on my favourite Devastator design (Giant). But as is...nah.

More Imaginarium Art Transformers Statue Images: Devastator Legs and Coronation Throne

After the last couple of images seen from Imaginarium Art and their latest endeavour in licensed Transformers statues (of a vaguely G1 style), we have another update concerning their Devastator project! We've seen his torso at least twice so far - latest was here - and it's now time to head for the feet, it seems, via their official Facebook page.

Along with Scrapper and Mixmaster in their leg modes and grey prototype colours, we also get to look at the base design, with parts of city demolished and askew under the might of the greatest Decepticon combiner. Take a look for yourselves, and let us know what you think of this high-end collectible statue. Does it have a place in you heart and house? Or is just too much?

Additionally, we also have a shot of the Coronation Throne made out of shells for the Shanghai Comic Con exclusive Starscream statue, as last seen here, and also included below. Check them both out!

Prepare to meet your doom! Nothing can withstand the might of Devastator!

Imaginarium Art is up to their old tricks again. The company famed for bringing us some awesome Transformers statues has revealed a teaser for another of their upcoming projects: a Generation 1 Galvatron! The teaser image shows us a Galvatron standing atop a Cybertron he apparently rules, with his cannon pointed out and ready to rip open Ultra Magnus, and every other Autobot, until the Matrix has been destroyed! While the statue has nothing related to its release date or price point yet, it is an awesome silhouette to view, and promises another awesome chapter in Imaginarium's statue line.

Check out the statue below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below! And as always, stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your latest Transformers news and galleries!

Not a bad price. Does anyone know when the pre-orders for the marble pedestals go up as well? Also what kinds of special lighting is recommended to best display the statue? Does anyone think I should go with the waterfall walls behind Rodimus to enhance the serenity of the display?

That statue actually looks really cool, and compared to some of the other statues around, that is not a bad price either

Imaginarium Art Jazz and Skywarp

Imaginarium Art has added more characters to be statues to their growing pool of Transformers statue involving Coronation Starscream with throne, Ultra Magnus pose statue, Soundwave pose statue with his minions: Rumble (or Frenzy for those on the other side of the coin), Laserbeak, and Ravage, and lastly the most recent Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod statue holding the Matrix of Leadership up as he ascends to being the next Prime after Optimus. While the other statues have been sold out, but the Rodimus Prime statue is still up for preorder at the moment. Be expected to shell out though! The pluses with these statues, aside from being super highly detailed are that they can and do feature LEDs and other fancy lighting features. Hot Rod seems to be packed with those features along with impressive detail too.

This time Imaginarium Art are increasing that number of Transformers statues with Autobot Jazz and Decepticon Skywarp. With these two added to our growing roster, we can hope for an even more characters to be made for their Transformers line. Here are the images below shared on Imaginarium Art’s Facebook page with Jazz and Skywarp respectively.

Specs bit does list that as Frenzy (cos Frenzy is blue!) but yes of course it can be which ever one the buyer wants it to be. :P

They are not all sold out. BBTS has all the statues still available except Soundwave. Also, I believe that seeker will be Skywarp. Check Youtube videos on IA. The statue was meant for Starscream but they went another route and made the throne version. At an Asian convention, they had this one painted as Skywarp.

We have a new teaser from Imaginarium Art and their official Facebook page, featuring another Decepticon to join the ranks of their extremely detailed and dynamic, officially licensed Transformers statues -and it's none other than the faction leader himself, Megatron!

Only teased with a grey prototype render, you can check out the smirk and fusion cannon below, as they were released on the page with the trademark motto 'Peace Through Tyranny'. Additionally, you can browse their galleries on the page (right here) to see what the status is with their Optimus Prime figure (as we already covered here), and the development process that went into the production of the Autobot leader.

Will have to get the marble pedastool to go with it and perhaps surround it with a koi pond. Or would it look better on the yacht mounted to the wine bar with special lighting? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Imaginarium Art Teases "Five Faces of Darkness"

by Tyrannacon
Imaginarium Art has been producing a number of impressive concept images of upcoming statues they are developing, and that number is expected to grow with the next unique (and probably really sought after choice) that is next! If it's one thing we know is that there are not many options available of owning much related to the Quintessons aside from a few offerings here and there, those loveable Sharkticons like Gnaw, and some stuff coming from the Third Party sector. ImaginariumArt on Facebook has dropped a teaser for something I think we can all appreciate due to the rarity of Quintesson related collectibles when it comes to the wide multiverse of Transformers.

Imaginarium Art Teases Ironhide and Posts Production Shots of Rodimus, Devastator and Nemesis Prime

Imaginarium Art is really using that Transformers license to its maximum. They just teased the Quintessons and are now teasing Ironhide. They mase a post on their Facebook page using an image of IDW Ironhide and wrote "You have a rodent infestation! He is in the schedule. Anyone here disagree?". This is just a teaser of course and the final Ironhide model they will have will probably take a lot of cues from his G1 look, judging from their past designs.

They have posted a slew of other images on their Facebook page as well. They have multiple images of their assemply line for the Rodimus Prime statue (a finished sample can be seen here), images showing their 3d printing development for Devastator parts, and images of a yet to be assembled Nemesis Prime.

Enjoy all these images below!
