The title on ebay says it's a KO but I found it yesterday in a regular toy store (which usually doesn't sell knock-offs). It's packaged in a TF4 package, the label says 'Movie Advanced' and it doesn't have any Japanese signs. Any ideas? Is it really a knock-off or not?

The toy it's based on is legit: Movie Advanced AD13 Devastator, a Japanese redeco of RotF Legends Devastator. In Japan, the Age of Extinction line was split in two: Lost Age series which had the simpler toys like the One-Steps and the Power Attacker/Battlers, and Movie Advanced which had the regular Generations-style toys, plus some redecos harking back to previous movies. Like the previous movie lines, the US packaging was retained, but Japan-only releases also have the bio in Japanese.

The box seems to match that release, but may I ask where exactly you're from? U.S. stores don't usually sell TakaraTomy releases unless they specialise in imports.
