Toys Alliance Licensed MAS-01 Optimus Prime

The folks over at Toys Alliance - linked with Kapow! Toys - have sent us notification of their first officially licensed piece of non-transforming Transformers action figure, including a prototype shot and some cover artwork by IDW artist Andrew Griffith. Check it out below!

Toys Alliance are proud to present the Transformers MAS-01 Optimus Prime. Officially licensed by Hasbro, Standing a huge 18 inches tall, this brand new version of the iconic 1980's Autobot Leader includes light up features, fully articulated joints and high quality paint and detailing, more details will be unveiled soon!

there are waaay too many g1 prime toys that do not transform. it looks awesome though. seems like the only thing they can do now is to give them as much detail as possible to top the previous ones.

If it is highly detailed, articulated, properly jointed, and accurate to the original design, it'll be an awesome figure. But what they should be selling in the same box with the robot figure as part of a set is a highly detailed, accurate, feature filled, non-transforming vehicle/alt mode figure too.

The Toys Alliance Facebook page have uploaded another angled look at another of their licensed properties, Teppeki Gokin! By the looks of the image, mirrored below, we'll be dealing with War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron styled action figures - FoC Optimus Prime specifically, here - but let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

Somewhere a supervisor is saying, "Yeah, it looks good, but does it have enough exhaust pipes? I really see this guy generating lots of exhaust. Like, even out of his forearms. Can we get some forearm pipes in there?"
