Seconded. Those things look horrible!

If only it was just the look... Horrible articulations, intrusive gimmicks, hollows everywhere, uninspired transformations, ultra cheap feelings... Those are pure "dollar store" garbage.

that binaltech optimus doesnt look that bad. i would gladly accept him as a donation or a freebie

however beast supreme cheetor is easily the worst one mentioned. his chest is so heavy he can barely stand up properly, particularly in robot mode. (man we need a rolling on the floor laughing smilie for this)

Ah, yes. You're right, there. Should've included all that. They're a hard pass for me.

I think Turbo Changer Dragonstorm should get an honorable mention. Not exactly great at resembling Dragonstorm, and also a shelfwarmer. A shelfwarmer that crowded out the space for Generations Leader-class figures to the point that several stores (such as all my local Targets) never got the later Titans Return Leader-class figures in stock. And they still had a few samples of him on the shelves last I looked!

I don't agree about Turbo Changer Dragonstorm. On it's own, it's not a bad transformers. The fact that it's a pretty expensive shelf warmer cannot make is a "worst" Transformers.

Still, I would like to see a "top 10 worst shelf/peg warmers" list. And that Dragonstorm would certainly be on that list.
Prime 1st Edition Bumblebee should be on that "worst peg warmers" list as well. Hasbro bundled so much of that one in cases that Toys R Us had to clearance them at 10$CAN each. And only that specific Bee.

Did that made Prime 1st Edition Bumblebee a bad transformers? Hell no. It was a pretty solid deluxe. But the swarm was a so intense that it did prevent new stuff from appearing in store for a while.

Its unrelated. The targets and walmart not carrying leaders were not gonna carry them no matter what. The places i went to found ways to have them all. Plus shelfwarmers can be great toys, the two notions are unrelated.

He still looks like a janky mess.

And the same Targets got Leaders in when Power of the Primes rolled around and some of the Dragonstorms had cleared out.

This is another isssue entirely: sucky distribution.
While the Toys R Us in Montreal had all that new stuff, the single one in Laval, my town just in front, got ignored for ages.
And once again, like shelf warming, poor distribution dosen't make the toys themselves "bad" or "worst".

I forgot how plentiful these were in Canada, they were just barely stocked in the US TRU stores. The one time I saw any of them they were relegated to two pegs and a little shelf space.

I'll take Zelda's side. Distribution and shelf-warming issues aside, Dragonstorm was a complete piece of poopy fail figure.

I don't like the chest so big he can't look his feet, the"Jazz style",he has flexible feet for good running pose and only that,a better car brick than Cliffjumper and the vehicon but i probably look harcelating.

To paint in black the section behind the head help figure like Skyquake commander.

Gotta admit that a 100$ 1-step TF is indeed a head-scratcher.

For the record, I really do think that Turbo Changer Dragonstorm shelfwarming at these Targets was preventing them from stocking the later-wave Titans Return Leaders. He was so piled up he was literally spilling over from his own spot into the space earmarked for the TR Leaders.

A bit more on topic, I think Thunderblast has enough posability, articulation, and style to not qualify for an honorable mention. But somehow I don't think I'll be convincing Will of that :p

Well, these lists are only opinions in the end. But yeah, T-Blast is Will's nemesis!

My presonal "nemesis" is voyager ROTF Starscream. People love that fig for reasons but I HATE it with passion. I could forgive the elbows that bend the wrong way. But I just cannot forgive when the istructions tell you to fold the hands away at the wrist to hide them in jet mode:

But that step get fokt because THERE IS NO WRISTS AT ALL and you end up with that:

It's been years since that betrayal but even to this day, I still feel the rage. :BOOM:

That just further proves that i was right to include her in the most overrated list

As for Dragonstorm being labelled as a terrible toy, the problem is that nobody really cares. The toy advertized as a big simple overpriced kids toy turns out to be just that. We might as well include those shampoo bottle TFs on this list. Adding toys we know are not for us and were never meant to be doesnt make for a fun list. And there are tons of em, not just Dragonstorm. I would be more inclined to put the Leader Dragon Storm on the list instead since its terrible quality for a toy labelled as Premier Edition.

Also, you can think what you want with the effects of Dragonstorm shelfwarming, but we cant generalize anything. Its all anecdotal evidence, here is mine:

1. Well, he's nowhere near as piled up now, but last year he was as I said literally spilling over into the space labeled for Titan's Return Leaders at ALL my local Targets.

2. Regarding him being terrible, I think he's bad even from the "Made for kiddies" perspective. Kinda like DJ Bumblebee compared to the other big gimmicky for kids Bumblebee. Because, well, it's seeming like the kiddies he was made for weren't jonesing for him loudly enough for him to shift at a good rate. Probably because he looks more like an oversize knockoff of Cybertron Scourge in RiD Bruticus' colors than like Dragonstorm in dragon mode, and doesn't do much for his size (perhaps if he'd had spring-loaded flame effect missiles in the dragon mouths).

3. Regarding "Premier Edition" Dragonstorm, you seem to be confusing "Premier" with "Premium". "Premier" simply means first - in position, importance, or time, etc. Ergo, it's jut another way of saying "First Edition". And as we've seen previously with post-DOTM movieverse toys, First Edition tends to mean it's a rough draft. Alternatively, Premier Edition just means "The edition that accompanies the movie's premier".
It's "Premium" that implies high quality.

4. I don't think Thunderblast belongs on the overrated list either. So nyeh :P

That pic is not from now, its from quite a while ago, to show that not everyone experienced the same thing.

5 years. 5 years already.
And Silver Knight Optimus Prime is still in my main display space and he's still one of my favorite Movie Optimus. Cool, imposing, and fun to fiddle with. :x

Plus he can DRIVE HIMSELF! I always find it hilarious when Transformers do that.

Is it a "bad" Transformers? Technically yes, but he's tons of fun and that's what matter.
So many "better" toys I ended up selling or burying in storage!
