Thanks to the Planet Iacon Facebook page and fellow Seibertronian TeamSKLeader we have news of a contest currently happening in Singapore with a special Chromed version of Combiner Wars Leader Megatron as the prize! This version of Megatron is chromed out and worth $600, and you can win him by being the top spender on transformers products at the Singapore Toys R Us stores during the month of March using your Star Card. The purchases are all accumulative. Some images of the toy as well as the guidelines for the contest are mirrored below.

You are right. Its a metallic silver similar to masterpiece streak. There were supposedly 8 of them made, one for each toys r us. The figure is actually very nice, but in no way worth 600 dollars.

Hmm... that "chrome" looks an awful lot like the silver paint on my Hasbro version.

It's not. That's a completely arbitrary amount they pulled out of thin air. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and I guarantee no one would pay $600 for that.

Seems like it...honestly, I'm just surprised they picked this mold to use for this sort of contest.

Where's the chrome? That just looks like a normal CW Megs that someone's done an extra black wash to in order to bring out more details. $60 would be too much, unless it comes in that big lucite case. That's worth more than that figure, certainly.

Don't get me wrong, it does look nice, just it looks like "wow a customizer made it look really cool" not "holy crap if I was made of money I'd try and acquire that".
