Optimus Prime in Block Form Again? This Time Generation 1!

Do you remember the Built-to-RuleTransformers block building sets back when Armada was ending and Energon was coming out? That's the first and last time any of our favorite robots made it into interlocking block form, officially anyway.
Well it appears that Kawada Daia-Block (Kawada Dia-Block), a very creative block company, has created a transforming robot with a likeness very similar to G1 Prime/Convoy.
Not sure what a 'Dia-block' is? Check out a simple definition and example.
G1 Convoy Kawada Dia-Block Figure Image
You can see it definitely resembles Optimus Prime, while very cool in some areas, is lacking in certain others.
Visit the Kawada website for more examples of their work, as well as, here. Fantofan is taking pre-orders for Dia-Block G1 Convoy here.

My initial 'Meh' might get reconsidered...

I could probably revamp it, make it better. Maybe throw in a Lego Bumblebee from my bro's Lego set...Those BTRs were awful!

It kicks the BTR stuff's arses in pretty much every sense. It's a pretty faithful representation in both modes, and unlike the BTR ones, this actually transforms, rather than juat having instructions for two models, which I thought was cheating. I think the only plus the BTR figs had was that they had specially formed parts for some things, like the heads.

And the head happens to be the major weakness of this one. Not very recognizable, unfortunately. Does it even have eyes ?

The alt mode is very cool, the robot comparatively less so.

Old news
great Shot looks really good though.
ANd it looks like they'll actually transform, not be taken apart and rebuilt like the BTRs

The quality of the plastic reminds me of Art Asylum's C3 Line. That being said, it's pretty sweet. However, this is what it should look like:
