lol....well maybe not exactly.

However I bought quite a few the last couple weeks and then 2 in the same week turn up damaged....

Yeah how sweet is that? Swoops head busted and the guy sends me a link to buy a new freaking BEAK. Uh...guy the beak is in the box but the piece it attaches to is broken.

Shockwave (aka Astro Magnum...sounds like a space condom) has his arm broken and the hose ripped off. And I look in the battery housing and the battery attachment has one of the ends missing.

Neither of these toys stated any damage. Both seemed to look good from the outside of the box.

I think Shockwave was busted because he had it folded funny in a bunch of packing peanuts. The hose was flat ripped, the wires and everything. Is it possible for temperature changes to bust old transformers? I had a Nosecone shatter in transit that seemed well packed so I would like to know that.

The Swoop is the KO reissue. It was an open box so it got to move quite a bit inside its box as the plastic holding it in was no longer glued. The box itself was well packed.

Both sellers are basically telling me its my problem and asking why I didn't buy insurance. Hey assclowns, YOU DID NOT OFFER IT!

Thats nearly $100 down the drain for two pieces. :-x

Is your shockwave a knockoff or the real deal? I just received mine via UPS and the color of him is purple. I remember when I was kid he was the same color as yours.

Negative feedback their asses! I got a G1 Swoop in almost the same condition a couple of weeks back. I was pissed, used negative feedback. The issue is still pending.

The real deal is purple. Mine is the gray radioshack version. There's also a diaclone that is gray.

It's technically not a knockoff.

Radio Shack had the rights to produce "Astro Magnum" which is the gray one you see above.

The purple one is the authentic, G1 Hasbro released product.

Oh and Pitts, I'd be giving them all kinds of hell. In fact, PayPal might even refund some of your money if nothing else.

The part when I said when I was a kid was supposed to say I had the Gray wersion and he was from Ben Franklin stores. Thanks for the clarification.

That part of Swoop is common to break.

Despite that, What happened to you is why I am afraid of buying things that are not MIB/MOC.

Yeah, but I've seen plenty of loose, complete Swoops that weren't broken.

negative feedback

if they want a smooth transaction they need to pack their items properly to ensure a safe delivery. If they don't know how to pack other bidders should know so they can mention something to them when they bid on an item.

That's what the feedback system is there for, to log bad experiences.

Really sorry to hear sounds like the Swoop broke in transit but the Astro Magnum sounds like he tried to pull one over on you.

While it is nice to see the fandom expanding due to the popularity of the movie, it is a shame to see all of the pseudo-capitalists coming out of the woodwork.

That's right, I said pseudo-capitalists. Real capitalists want their customers to come back. Anything else is short-sighted pilfering, basically socialism masking itself as capitalism.

The feedback system is severly flawed. If he leaves negative feedback they are going to also most likely leave negative feedback.

Yeah, the feedback system on eBay sucks. I'd get in contact with both eBay and Paypal before going the negative feedback route since it's pretty obvious that the items didn't get damaged in shipping. It's reasons like this that I will only bid on items that take Paypal because atleast you have some protection.

Yup. Nothing helps motivate a shady seller than filing a claim with PayPal.

Unfortunately the Shackwave was paid via personal check. I'll still file an ebay claim and leave a negative at the last second...lol.

I hate eBayers for driving up the price of '08 Bumblebee to $60+ when it's been out for a week for $10. Or maybe it's just Transfans that are idiots - I've noticed other collectors don't piss their money about as much.

Swoop seller says
Okay, I can see that you are going to be difficult with this. I was not lying when I told you that I am a man of integrity. I was in the military and held a Top Secret Federal clearance, so if the US Government trusts me (I am also a veteran from Afghanistan), I suggest that you trust me as well. With this being said, I securely packaged the item for a safe shipment and as you had mentioned, both the boxes (the shipping box, as well as the toy's box) arrived in the same condition as I had sent them - undamaged. Now, if they were damaged, i.e., dents, crushing, etc., I would be more than happy to address your concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot be held liable because YOU said that the item arrived safely and as I had mentioned, Swoop was sent just as received, 100% complete and unbroken. If it were me, I would not make this matter more than what it needs to be and simply glue the head back on.

Yeah...I'm just gonna GLUE the head on and not request I get what i paid for...UGH!

WOW, that guy just sounds like he is fishing for some bullsh*t reasoning. His backround has nothing to do with the current situation. Sorry for your loss but man I would be over the boiler pissed at reading that load of sh*t.

Can't fault eBay sellers for taking advantage of market demand. If people are willing to pay those prices then more power to them. I know I took advantage of Captain America #25 when that was released.

As for Pitts problem, The guy is full of crap. I can't imagine a guy with to secret federal clearance bragging about it on eBay. Your best bet is to file a claim with eBay but it's starting to sound like you might have to chalk this up to a lesson learned.

Oh no way do I chalk **** up to "lesson learned". Never, ever. There's more than one way to skin a cat! :-x

All 3 ebayers I'm fighting with had excellent feedback. It all reminds me of dealing with wheeljackslab. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. They all hold negative feedbacks over your head even if you paid quickly and have a valid issue.

See if your bank can cancel payment on the check or something. (I doubt it at this point, but I just thought of that.)

Also, that guy with the "background" is just going to be trouble. Go ahead and get PayPal on his ass.

Hmm....are you using the same package service for all of them?

There may be an issue with your local branch of it.

Try switching brands and see if the problem resolves.
