Same. There have been reports of people finding them with photos to prove and I've been checking but no luck so far. Doesn't seem like an item that would be in stores but if that $200 Star Wars tie fighter can be sold in stores why not this I suppose.

Were there any in store sightings in the states though?

Because tie fighters have a real fan base.

but ouch, shots fired with the tie fighters... TBH, they want too much and it strikes me as WAY too big (unless there's some voodoo with the packaging).

Back on topic. BBTS processed my order, so I guess they sold out of the initial stock.

I still think she'll look good in a display with (the Takara) Windblade

Not going to argue that, Victorion is a totally new character, the only reason a parent would buy it for a kid is because they might think it looks cool. Thats a chance most stores wont take. A Tie Fighter has much better odds of being recognized, wanted and aquired.

Other than LEGO or video games (which seem to always get a pass) general retail stuff that ends up at or north of $100 seems to shelf-warm unless it's Christmas Time.

I think what bothers me about stores not stocking Vicky (though again, I can understand why) is some kids who might truly enjoy her, won't even know she exists.

Off-topic. I'd have expected Rey's Speeder in a Starwars Black Vehicle line over a Tie-Fighter (size/cost-wise). But that's another completely different conversation to have (on another forum?). #-o

also colors are breaking on the webpage, but not in the forums proper... strange.

Found ordering from the link on the page to be a hassle (no-loading on payment page), so I went to the normal Target website and ordered it just fine. Might keep her in a box for 30 days until a cheaper option can be found.

PASS!

BBTS think they're doing someone a favor given who ridiculous the scalpers are selling Groove on Amazon.

I'll wait for a more reasonable price.

You know......this is a nice option for those who want to order Groove, and didn't already get him from overseas online retailers. Definitely put in an order for Loudpedal, though. I'll take any MP Decepticons I can get at this point.

Luckily I've already got my Groove, but haven't decided if I'll use him for Defensor or not yet.

He didn't sell out within minutes. The listing was up since around midnight. Try a few hours. As soon as I got home, four hours in, I snatched him up.

There will be lots of regret when he shows up at HTS with his intended retail price: http://www.dorksidetoys.com/Transformer ... 826as0.htm

And its too bad everyone just encouraged BBTS to continue these premium price practices.

My guess is that HTS is waiting for the MAYMAYHEM 15% off code to expire today before they release him on their site. But even then, regular retail is much better than the inflated prices on BBTS.

It's insurance. I am willing to pay that price for this figure, due to it's limited availability. If he shows up on Amazon for cheaper, I'll get him there. But, I no longer have the ability to hang out on the Internet hitting refresh until the figure becomes available. Perhaps Groove will be available well after this weekend, like Quickslinger and Brake Neck last year. But I don't want to risk it. This is a reason I am okay paying a bit more with a retailer like BBTS.

It's all capitalism. I find it a bit harsh that BBTS is considered a scalper. If people are willing to pay the price, we do. If not, then the choice to wait on HTS or Amazon is very valid too. Capitalism! ;)^
