CW Alternate Limb Transformations

I've recently picked up a slew of CW limb figures, and...kinda disappointed with most of the car-bots' leg transformations. Is there any alternate transformations that can make the legs look more like the Offroad mold, with its car-hood-kneecap...thing? Specifically for the Dead End and Breakdown molds?

The deadend mould can be finagled to have the off road combined knee cap look. If I remember how to scribe this right:
Angle the front of the car over onto the back as if you're putting him into robot mode.
Keep the head panel up in line with the car as if it was car mode.
Swing the front of the car over the head and angle it a bit down at the front, so it's an angle. Push it flush against the torso thigh and it should hold in as a knee cap. May need some fudging to get it looking around over the head, but it's certainly doable. And looks good, I usually have them like that.
Unfortunately, not so with the breakdown mould. All you can do that is flip the car front up so it's sticking out at a 90 degree angle.

Thank you for the instructions. Would you happen to have a picture of the end result?

If you can wait till I get home tonight, I can whack Breakdown on Defensor and take pics of him and streetwise like this.

I display my Menasor with Brake-neck and Dead End as the legs, with the front ends folded up. Looks like he has really knobby knees.

Still looks better than exposed joints, though.

I don't really mind the exposed joints, I just really like the look of the kneecap thing for some reason.

Oh, don't worry about it. I don't have Dead End himself, I have Smokescreen.

Here's how I have them. (You can right click and
Open image in new tab if you find them too small. Also, you probably should just ignore those VHS tapes in the background, heh)

Really you just gotta go ahead and try and finagle them around for yourself and see what makes you happy.

Hope the pics help in that regard, even if you don't go that way.

Okay, so, I'm trying to make a good gestalt from Scattershot, Hound, Wheeljack, Trailbreaker, and Smokescreen. (I shall call him...REPAINTRON!!

) So, which limb arrangement would provide best stability as well as aesthetics?

Stability isn't really an issue, as everyone pegs onto the same foot, so each mould is as stable as all the rest. As for aesthetics, that's your call. Mix and match them, play around with them for a bit until you find the configuration you think is the best looking one.

First of all, nice to see someone likes the sky reign limbs.
Second: I find the best configuration is hound as a left arm, trailbreaker as a right arm (that claw knuckle is awesome) smokescreen as a left leg and wheeljack as a right leg.

I see. At the moment, he has Sky Reign's normal configuration, but I'll give that a try.

To anyone who owns the brawl mold, is anyone aware of the proper way to turn him into an arm. The reason i ask is because i read his instructions and it has a different way of doing it. The ramhorn retool for Predacus uses a awkward transformation that gives him a wonky arm. However the official transformation gives him a more streamlined arm. Anybody knew that or did i just stumble into something new?

When I try to do the Brawl arm, I always find his arms can't go flush against his body, unless I'm doing something wrong.
