Hopefully Computron hits pretty early in the month. I decided I am going Hasbro over Takara. I actually prefer the different molds that Hasbro used (other than the Air Raid to Strafe rather than Blast Off to Strafe, but 5/6 vs. 3/5 is better for me), plus Scrounge!

I'm with you on hopes of Computron hitting early this month. I will most likely miss Groove on Toyshop...had better luck with Target. As for this 15% discount being worth more than a molten pile of stinking slag remains to be determined. Amazon dropped the Combiner Wars gift sets prices like a hot potato, and you can still get them cheaper than applying Hasbro's discount. If Computron goes to Amazon...I'll just hold out until it hits $85 or lower. [-( :BOT:

G2 superion was 85 shipped from the ebay HST page just a couple days ago. Might still be up at that price, not sure

Guys, it isn't May until tomorrow. If I remember correctly from last year, May Mayhem didn't happen until the middle of the month. I still can't believe Hasbro is only doing one figure.

Think about it, The Combaticons haven't been released in Japan yet, I'll bet Hasbro can't release an exclusive mold before Takara. Maybe next year they'll release Blast Off with the Japanese version of Strafe.

2 things:

1. Hasbro released CW Slingshot and Wildrider before Takara came out with their components.
2. Strafe is not the only toy that differs from Hasbro in the UW set. Lightspeed and Nosecone are just as different than the Hasbro versions and nosecone is just as much a retooled as Strafe is.

1. Those were just heads, though, not entirely new molds. And said heads were Hasbro pretools. Hasbro had no involvement in Takara's Blast Off.
2. All of the molds in Hasbro's Computron set are molds that they designed and currently have access to. UW Strafe is from a mold that Hasbro evidently doesn't have access to yet.

My point wasnt about the mold use here but more about why hasbro would just rerelease UW Strafe and not the others when they already had their unique strafe mold along with all their other different versions of the technobots. I feel they wont both releasing UW Computron in the states, they already have their COmputron with all the necessary players, including their own exclusive mold.

Those were simple repaints with a new head, Blast Off is a new mold top to bottom. Strafe makes sense to release with Blast Off since they share the same mold. Then again it might never happen since by next year we'll be knee deep into Titans Return.

Or there's no rhyme or reason to it and they're going to use Blast Off next year if we collectively cry to them about it enough.

Damn you, and your perfectly tussled hair bringing logic and common sense to a toy discussion.
