As I would expect, now that the sale is over, my local Target had all the Wave 2 Deluxes (except Moonracer) which I purchased on Amazon last week. Maybe if I'm lucky the Walmart I'm heading to next will have the Prime Masters or Voyagers.

Looks like you won't find any POTP on their website. I just see some leftover Last Knight, Titans Return, & some Playschool offerings.

Which would be great, if they had any of the new PotP figures, or indeed any Transformers that we didn't have already....

I agree that HTS needs to step their game up in terms of giving us what we want on time. Hasbro needs to take charge so that they don't miss out on making sales. IIRC HTS is run by someone else with Hasbro's permission. Seems like red tape isn't doing to toy industry any good as of late. But maybe it's just me being grumpy.

Either way let's hope these sales are their way of making room for some new stuff.

Its not that simple. If Hasbro starts prioritizing its own outlet, they risk "offending" (and thats an overused word in this day and age, and not a fully correct one) their main customers:WalMart,Target, Meijer, etc. Why would we go to those stores if we can go straight to the source? In the grand scheme of things, Transformers sales isnt much, but why should a major retailer support a toy company that can and will undercut the retailer's sales? Its just not good business, especially in a digital sales economy. So as a way to serve the fandoms, Hasbro has an online presencr, but in order to appease their biggest spenders, the wevsite is lightly stocked, and/or stocked last, after all other retail orders have gone out.

We really shouldnt apply the rules of standard retail to HTS. They arent trying to compete with others, they just have a platform to either sell whatever products have not been ordered by retailers or hype a particular product (ie, Studio Series, Grotusque). They dont care if they "might" get extra revenue from this, a front end retail outlet is costly to maintain (thus, not worth it) and they instead prioritize the bulk orders from retailers, dealing in bigger transactions using their already familiar logistics.

I understand those concerns, but looking at LEGO they always have great stock on their site and in their stores yet their sets are well stocked in brick and mortar stores (pardon the pun). I just don't see why other brands don't follow that model because it is really great.

Apple does as well.
The reason others don't is because this is all very costly and may not be worth it for many. It works for Lego due to the fact that manufacture is fully automated and they have less product to focus on (as does Apple) and they have many high priced items (as does Apple). Hasbro has a ton of low priced products, so you need more effort maintaining stock and manufacturing to adjust to demand while making less revenue. These different product types and company strategies, what works for one can easily be disadvantageous to another.

Isn't HTS inventory akin to "Factory Seconds", or over run? Meaning, all their overflow product that wasn't picked up by the major retailers is dumped there. I thought HTS was Hasbro's factory outlet.

Its odd. I've always thought of HTS as a premiere first-run site, made especially for fans who don't have access to a lot of B&M stores nearby. But the more I look at it, the more it seems to be a dumping ground, or place to sell perceived overstock, especially with respect to leftover convention exclusives (though they do sell quickly). But then again, wave 1 of PotP did appear at the same time they appeared at most B&M, and often at a better price, so I have no idea...

Yes exactly hence why I dont understand why people are puzzled over them not always having stock. Its like wondering why TJMax doesnt have the latest POTP wave.

Hasbro Toy Shop has 15% off Action Figures now through April 8 with the promo code ACTIONFIGURES18. Looks like most of what's available in the Transformers category is Wave 1 POTP along with the usual Rescue Bots & leftover stock from Titans Return.

I'll second that, I've seen PotP OP and Unicoranus Rodimus for $30 at two different Walmarts in Louisiana.

I just assumed it was a YMMV kinda thang.
