Yeh, I basically pre-ordered everything thru target, haven't done that before, but I absolutely couldn't say no to saving all that money

Thanks for the heads up on the Target sale!
Got the Snapdragon and Quintesson for the sale and half off each after being paired with Dealer and an erroneous deluxe.
Getting the Red Card had been a motivation for Red Wing last year but this sale made it all worth it.
The 5% off nearly negates my RI sales tax at 7% making this a double win.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

After hearing some stories over the Studio Series thread, I hope none of us suffer any adverse effects to pre-ordering with the sale or the mis-labeled prices

Well I only had to go to 2 Targets. Astrotrain has seemingly arrived in droves!. Optimus, obviously is the harder to get of two. The second store I went to had one in the back. Score! .

None of the Targets seem to have the BOGO signage up in the toy departments, if not for the article, I wouldn't have known.

I found an Optimus today, but no astrotrain. I picked up one of the endless Shockwaves to get the deal, which I’ll either return or exchange when I find a leader I want.

Apparently my Target didn't get the memo... or stock: only the WFC Voyager sale was advertised, but none on the shelves! :BANG_HEAD:

This Target sale is great, but I'm confused.
I took advantage of it online and locked down some of the preorders on the reveals from Fair. But then I got itchy so I hit the streets in hopes of finding some things on shelf. I had to ask for help, and they pulled one lonely Grapple from the back. I figured what the heck, and grabbed him even though there was nothing to BOGO. I was willing to pay full price anyway.
But! He rang up as 19.99.
There is so much going on with this sale I can't keep it all straight. So it's BOGO on all transformers toys, AND all voyagers are 19.99?
Man I hope I find some more this week!

Got Scrapper and Overload for $48 otd via the Target sale. That's right: Overload was the same price as Scrapper ($29), and I got $15 off plus free shipping. Only downside is I may not see Overload until October.

How long is this Target deal suppose to last?

I've spent too much money recently to take advantage of it right now, and have some bills coming up soon that need paying, but if the sale lasts long enough until I get paid again later this week, I may then be able to make some use of it.

According to the Terms and Conditions it ends 02/29/2020

Just WFC Voyagers, they didn't include Studio Series. I guess they're trying to clear all those Megatrons out, but they should have done a discount on Leaders instead to get rid of all those Shockwaves.

And yeah, the sale runs all week, last day Saturday. I won't be able to hit Target until Thursday or Friday so hopefully they've restocked by then. If I can find Grapple and Starscream I'll happily cancel my Pulse pre-order.

I got the discount on SS, so not just WFC.

I wonder if your store made a mistake? They're still full price on Target.com and the ad says WFC.

It's possible. Overload was priced at $29 instead of the usual leader class price.

Once you place an order, you may have a pending authorization on your debit or credit card account in the amount of the estimated order total. While authorization holds are not actual charges, they allow your bank to reserve funds so the order can be processed. Authorization holds are temporary and only remain in effect until they expire, the card issuer removes the hold, or the authorization is settled.

So, yeah.......I need to watch out for some of these pre-orders. I can't have any of my money tied up right now. Not even a temporary hold. Bigbadtoystore, TFSource & Amazon let you pre-order with no activity on your card until it's in stock. But these other places do that pre-authorization BS.

It's a guarantee that they'll actually get the money. Also: reserving the funds goes ahead and gets the deduction out of the way while it's still on your mind, rather than letting you forget about it because it hasn't been charged yet and thus spend money you might owe.

Whooo! Thank you so much for this tip, I just picked up Overload and Blitzwing for only $47, and I'm thinking about going back for Scrapper and Snapdragon. This is making me nervous, though; I've never preordered mainline stuff before. I'm hoping none of them end up having QC issues, but I couldn't pass up a $30 Leader.

It's just a temporary hold, they reverse it after a few days so you still have the money. It is strange that they take that extra step and can still cancel your entire order for no reason according to some. We'll see what happens, they've already started shipping in stock items from my order so you'd think they'd be committed for the rest. Whatever, it's worth the try.

Used the target sale to preorder Sentinel and Scrapper, which I’m really excited about. I might also get DOTM Soundwave and the Arcee triplets.

FYI - Airwave and Allicon just showed up on Target.com. Get them while you can. Limit of 2 per order. I'm getting 3 of each.

Thanks, got one of each.

Likewise I know some people have been trying to find Siege Soundwave for a decent price. He's on Amazon right now ("sold by Amazon.com") for $29.09. Get him before he's gone!

dang...wanted to get Fasstrack and Airwave, but Fasttrack is sold out.....

I don't suppose there's any chance they will honor BOGO if you find one item in store, and another online?

No, I don't see a practical way that could happen. If you order one Airwave at full price, and go to the store with your order confirmation to see if they would let you buy another deluxe at 50% off, they have no way of preventing you from cancelling your order online since it won't ship and you won't be charged until September (if that date holds up).

The only thing I can think of that might work would be to order 2 Airwaves, and once they arrive try to exchange one in store, but you would have to wait for a while just to see if it works.
