Grapple was an odd one for me. Sure I saw several of them, but it always seemed t sell well. Even if I saw 4 or 5 at a time (rare for a voyager), they were usually gone within a week to 10 days.

Oddly enough I don't know what happened around this time, but multiple walmarts in my area were selling Grapple/Starscream at 30% off because of damaged packaging. Usually this is an accident you just see at one store, but this was 3 or 4 stores I saw it at...very weird.

Just to show I am not always negative. I had a good experience at an out of the way Target today. This may not look "well stocked" to the untrained eye, and from a 3rd party perspective I'd agree. However...this was my first sighting of Kingdom Galvatron (which I purchased), and origins BB, which while I didn't purchase, was at least interesting to see in person. Also, I didn't take picture, but this specific Target had a much better selection of Masters of the Universe than I've ever seen previously. So, all-in-all not bad. And while I have Wingfinger and Rodimus via Amazon, I have yet to see Core Soundwave, Rodimus, or any Deluxe wave 3 at retail yet. I think I've seen everything else so far however.

I get what you mean, quality over quantity. Having the latest stuff is better than having fully stocked shelves of old product.

Did you get the Galvatron with the right shoulders? I've seen him a few times but always with the bad ones so I have held off from buying him.

Also, from waht I read on Facebook groups, I think the most sought after item on that pic of yours is that Buzzworthy Multipack with Fangry. I know many americans who would be jealous of that Target. Also, I remember you saying there may be scalpers in your area. Is this target considered in your area? Because that multipack is perfect scalping fodder. People are making quite a bit by buying it and selling the pieces individually on e-bay.

It is interesting. That store "Rocklin" is about 10 miles form my home. According to Brickseek is is #7 (of 20) stores closest to me. I admit I probably go there more often than I need to. I called it "out of the way" because it is probably 4 or 5 on my list of preferred Targets. Though some may be geographically closer, this Rocklin store seems to have a better selection generally, and is easier to get to than some closer stores because it is right off the freeway. I also say out of the way, because it is in a more rural than suburban area, going away from the city, which may also be why it has a seemingly better selection.

The Buzzworthy multipack is a strange thing. I've seen it multiple times. It is pretty steady. Not being scalped, nor is it just sitting around. For some reason scalpers just aren't going for it in my area. Maybe because the risk/reward of a higher priced item is too much? (Unless you try to sell them separately?) It kind of reminds me of the Titan Return Box Sets. There was one or two from each that most people waned, and the rest were just *meh*. I actually was the opposite with TR, the ones I wanted were the generally undesirable ones, but I kept all contents of both sets.

This Buzzworthy set though...While Fangry is certainly cool, I am glad he is one of the original series characters overdue for an update, finally getting one. He doesn't fit into the aesthetic of my collection, and I haven't purchased any Beast Wars characters so far, so these specialized repaints aren't desirable to me. Is it odd that I feel that if I did want this set, the universe would know, and make it much harder to find. ;)

I think the Galvatron's seen in stores now are from later in production, they seem to have the fixed shoulders for the most part. There were 2 of them, and one Magnus. Both seem to have the shoulders correct. You can bet I checked before purchasing ;) . This certainly could be problematic starting next year when all Leaders are in solid cardboard boxes. Has anyone had any issues with Rodimus? (as in misassembled parts?) I know about the trailer issue, but that's more due to how it was tied down in packaging, than manufacture. I've put some rubber bands around mine to try to get it to stay shut.

My first one was missing his flame effects for his exhaust pipes, but that probably isn't something that being able to see into the package would have helped. I did see someone else saying that their Rodimus Prime was missing the Rodimus Prime

Just the trailer and weapons. That would be a big disappointment.

Wait a minute, o. supreme, your Target has a SS31 Megatron voyager on the shelf? Forget about Arcee, what the hell is he still doing there?

Yeah that was puzzling to me also. My guess it was probably something lost in the back, or sometimes retail stores do what they call "rack dives" where they actually clean out underneath shelves because items occasionally will get lost, or may have been "hidden" there by others with the intention of purchase, and they just never came back.

Do'h! It is likely new stock. I just remembered Target is doing a new run of that previous exclusive and the Bumblebee 2 pack SS24/25. Looks like they must also be hitting stores.

Just got an alert from PULSE that Kingdom Scorponok and Galvatron will be sent to my realm soon. I guess they're NOT totally out to lunch!

Just curious, does it take a while for Pulse items to ship to your "Realm"? (I know approximately where it is). *Or for anyone else in the Western U.S.* It's just I hear fans on the East Coast get their packages in 2 or 3 days tops (which makes sense since they ship from RI and GA). However, even on the West Coast you would think that wouldn't take more than a week, even by ground, but it usually takes at least 10 days for things to get to me once they've shipped. Of course I've seen a package literally sit in GA for 3 days, then go between 2 different FedEx destinations in Texas 2 times, like a ping pong ball, before moving on, so that doesn't help either.

It's sad that I haven't been out in the world for almost a month!. I went to a Walmart today that was actually well stocked. I saw the latest RED toys, SS, SS86 ( lot I hadn't seen before) even BW classic Primal and Megatron...and some new Cyberverse as well. Notice what was missing?

Kingdom. What in the world is going on? Now we can't use supply shortage as an excuse. How are they able to get toys for basically every line except Kingdom? No leaders, no voyagers, no core, only 2 Paleotrex, which could be left over from wave 1 was restocked during the summer, or the recent wave 4, I have no idea. But the lack of Kingdom is quite frustrating as it's the only line I really care about.

I've seen a pretty good amount of Deluxe wave 3 at one Walmart and Target lately even seen a second restock at one Walmart. The other Walmart, however, hasn't had in much of note, just lots of Cyberverse and a Kingdom Blackarachnia.

I've seen a news report saying Walmart and Target are correcting shipping issues by shipping stuff into the US themselves instead of waiting for toy companies to do it so they'll have toys in stores for Christmas. Problem is they still have trouble finding drivers to get stuff into their distribution centers and then out of their distribution centers and into the stores.

I will give the late Brian Goldern props, with all this news of supply chain issues, TF shelfs seem to be doing better now than they were in the first half of the year.

Someone posted this the other day on a Facebook page I follow, it's from a US Walmart, freaken insane

My shelves are stocked ok too but you'll notice the product choice is not as fresh with the SS line.

Image

Went to Toysrus today and it was pretty good. LOTS of exclusives but I have everything I need. A good stock in other lines too.

Looking at your TRU shelves I guess it's no accident that my local Target restocked those Buzzworthy BB Cyberverse Spark Armor figures again. Sucks that those are what they decide to restock and not the stuff that people really want (even though they'll likely sell anyway).

Oh, and I also saw seven Castle Grayskulls at Target, they seem to be multiplying. First I saw two, about a month ago, both sold. Then I saw two more, one sold. Then two more were added to the left over one, none sold, followed by two more last week taking them to the edge of the shelf. Yesterday I saw sixths one laying flat on the other five and then found number seven a little ways off laying on some other stuff near by. Strange seeing them so invested in a big ticket item for a line they barely stock.

Yeah, those castle grayskulls are everywhere now. Even my Walmart had one.

That U.S. Walmart is like one I visited and commented on a couple weeks ago. Plenty SS and other lines, but no Kingdom. I fear retailers in the U.S. ( other than Macy's) didn't even order wave 4 and possibly won't even be notified of wave 5. Stores may be plenty stocked for the holiday with other lines, but no Kingdom for... reasons. Glad I pre ordered Slammer on Amazon. But even come January, I wonder if I'll even get it, or will Amazon cancel?

Wave 4 has been found at Walmart, we had confirmation

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... ail/46294/

Now whether all stores stock it, it's up to them.

Edit: I don't think they order in waves though, they order by assortment number. Hence why Hasbro has to keep changing that number yearly with new lines. If they ordered specifically by wave then we would never have the issue of not having the final waves since stores would know they are new product rather than old product.

Have you had Amazon cancel anything on you yet? I know that some had issues with the ER Coneheads and Ironhide/Prowl, and a few more recently with Tigatron, but otherwise Amazon has been pretty damn consistent with fulfilling orders. They are batting 1000 for me and I order quite a bit, so I'm not worried about this one bit.

Went hunting for Kingdom wave 4 at Target during lunch and found a fresh case was put out.

Of wave 2 :HEADHURTS:

Luckily I found my Shadow Panther at Walmart across the street. They were out of Waspinator, but I'm passing on him since I have the really good T-30 version.

Thanks WJ for the reminder. I'm not sure how much volume Walmart ordered of wave 4, but it could be just limited to certain geographical areas (I never saw wave 3 deluxes anywhere in stores), and of course there is no evidence so far that Target has ordered any wave 4. I'd still say check out Macy's for anyone looking to find Waspinator or Shadow Panther quickly in store, otherwise online retailers will be shipping them soon presumably.

As to the question has Amazon ever fell short for me personally no... But as you said some exclusive pre-ordwers were cancelled. Also some exclusive Blu Ray sets that had large quantities of pre-orders were cancelled.. Thankfully I got mine, but a lot of Tokusatsu fans were quite unhappy with Amazon over the summer.

Just to further clarify, I'm not sure that they order in waves. My assumption is that as the year goes on, Hasbro ships them the newly released stuff (ie wave) in that assortment. But sometimes they get previous waves and end up having enough product that they don't need anymore. Hence the "end of line" syndrome. In my neck of the woods, Walmart got all waves but not all of them were put on shelves in stores and some were only available online (like wave 1 and wave 3 toys). But they had wave 4 toys on shelves.
