I got my protoform Starscream and Optimus today and I snapped some photos of them to share. I guess there has been a little confusion as to the sizes of these toys and Movie Starscream is DEFINITELY a voyager, while the protoform is a deluxe.

Enjoy!

Protoform Starscream's missle WILL fit inside Movie Starscream's blasters, but I can't get them to fire. Maybe it's because it's a prototype.

What happened, Starscream? One second you're a cool comet, then you land on Earth and turn into that?!

He saw how depressing Earth was and went on an energon goodie binge.

I wonder if he actually increases size when he reformats... hmmm They never explained that about mass shifting. It's kind of silly to think they can look at something, and change their body parts instantly to match those, but can't mass shift.

another inconsistency

Well his alternate form is perfect being Earths most sophisticated and deadliest Jet to ever grace the skies. The F/A-22 was a great choice for him.

Now his robot form....

There was confusion over their sizes? Seems pretty obvious to me when they are sitting on the shelf...

That is from the prototypes.. They messed up their faces to hinder resale (or something like that).

And why did this ancient thread get necrobumped?

If you notice the date on the first few posts in this thread, you'll realize its from February. This means movie toys weren't out back then. And just like in Seib's Gallery, this SS, is a prototype, Hasbro tends to alter the prototypes, to prevent unlawful selling of them. The pink blob on his face is Hasbro's attempt at discouraging the sale of this item. Lots of good that did.

But What's the deal with this thread, so incredibly old.

How many prototypes of each toy do they make?
