One in particular that will strike the readers. Original G1 Fortmax was almost a pipe dream. Too bad that I can no longer link to another source I read but it was "O.K."'s boss in Takara who encouraged him to proceed with Fortmax.

It was a verrrrryyyyyyyy risky project back then to create the world's biggest robot toy at that time. Risky as in how the recent Fortmax has a lot of re-used parts (20% by my estimates).

This also confirms my suspicion that Head Masters was a Takara originated concept. A question and hunch that has been on my mind for a while.

Thanks y'all. Glad to share a bit of trivia.

And the inspiration was an old Super Robot anime by Go Nagai....Kotetsu Jeeg/Jeeg the Steel Robot in some english dubs.
