While I don't have it in those colours, I freakin' love that toy.

Ooh... now that's a sweet looking idea which I'd definitely drop more cash on right away without even the slightest hesitation, if it existed. Who knows, it's maybe even something we might actually get too. I mean, Hasbro gave us an Armada homage out of Combiner Wars Megatron, so an Energon homage out of Titans Return Galvatron wouldn't be that much of a stretch. Not to mention that Hasbro usually has some kind of repaint or retool in the works for every figure and other than a G1 toy accurate color scheme, I'm not sure what else they could do with this newest Galvatron.

As much as I don't like more support 3rd parties anymore, a new cheap head by like Dr Wu would help I suppose. However like I said about mine, his is very loose and falls out without his crown so when a different head won't help. In the end I'm fine with what I have.

Well, either way, if the loose connection is a common problem, they'd probably make the connector piece a bit larger to compensate.

Someone made a little mistake at their job "Let's shoot that person!" It's a damn head sculpt on a piece of plastic nothing worth being so upset about.

My greatest flaw is my empathy and my lack of being able to tell sarcasm/jokes apart from general internet bullcrap.

But will people be willing to pay the price? They wont just do a head and release it like that, there will be an upgrade pack with the head and more and it will cost upwards of 30$ like all recent kits. Is everyone really going to pay the same cost they paid for their whole figure again just to get a head? Rather than simply gluing the mask onto the face?

Well, gluing the mask to the face means the head can't store in the cockpit, which is pretty sucky.

What would the rest of the upgrade be, though? All I can think of that needs improvement is the head and the cannon placement. Make a head and an adapter piece, sell it for...let's say seven dollars, and there you go. Perfect Galvatron.

...okay, that just seems extremely overpriced. I can get an entire Perfect Effect hand/foot combiner kit for something around that cost! :HEADHURTS:

Thats what the market is and it will be like that or worse with Galvatron. And the price is only ridiculous because we compare it to Hasbro, but you forget that Hasbro operates in economies of scale. They are only cheaper because they can make a bunch at the same time and have mastered that. 3p companies dont have as many to sell and cant profit from making a bunch so they have to cover their costs in less number of units and that makes it more expensive. Hence why 3p items cost so much more. Its not because they are necessarily better or use better material (that is always debatable) its just because they dont operate with economies of scale.

Renderform probably isn't the best example as he's a one-man operation making products in very small quantities, so of course his prices are going to be higher.

Hey that's 3rd parties. You're Spending a bunch of money you don't need. Honestly if you have that much of a problem with A TOY then just don't buy it.

I don't have that much of a problem with it. I said earlier that I don't mind the mask thing. If a third-party head is made I'd probably buy the upgrade, but even without it I'll still enjoy Galvatron quite a bit.

I didn't mean that directed straight at you, just as a statement. I apologize.

I agree I don't mind the gimmick, I've had him for like 2 weeks now and i really enjoy it. Yes there gaps in angles but I'm not staring at it at those angels ever.

Reminds me of the MASSIVE complainers about CW Magnus with his hallow legs in his back. You're not putting that figure on a shelf facing away from you. One of my best friends got him a week before I did and I went over to check him out and I mentioned the griping and he said "what hollowness?" I showed him and he said "oh...I don't care he's going on my Magnus shelf facing forwards"

Even at twice the price it'd still be cheaper than most full 3P figures, so I can certainly see some people paying for the upgrade.

As for me personally, I'll probably try everything I can to "fix" the character myself first, if gluing the mast on would actually be able to functionally eliminate the glaring gap than I might just try that. If not I'll discard the mask and just pain the base head. Either way though, should a 3P head come along and isn't more expensive than the base figure, then it's something I'll at least have to consider.

That, or since I have spare Energon Voyager-Class Megatron packed away somewhere or another I might just have to dig it out of storage and see how viable it would be to cannibalize that head.
