New Galleries: Transformers Titans Return Scourge with Fracas

Rounding out our first wave of deluxe Titans Return figures, we bring to you Seibertron.com's newest gallery: Deluxe Scourge with Fracas! Scourge is a new figure based on his original G1 self originating in the infamous 1986 Movie. This version of the figure also includes his original Targetmaster figure Fracas, now redone as a Titan Master. However, the look of this new Fracas is entirely based on G1 Nightstick, Cylconus' Targetmaster partner since Fracas' look in the show and comic was actually based on G1 Nightstick. Consider this an homage that goes full circle. This small Titan Master can pilot Scourge's spaceship mode as well as the double-barrelled gun.
Check out the gallery images below, and click on any image you want to follow the trail back to the full gallery, and remember to keep an eye out! These guys are hitting your store shelves now!

Too much blue. I will be getting one of the Takara Legends Scourges and using my 2 other Generations Scourges as his sweeps. >:oP

I hope a 3rd party makes a proper head form him and Blurr.

Galvatron is the one I'm most concerned with. I can't get over how cool the rest of him is but his head is a disaster. Form follows function failed miserably with Galvatron.

Who needs to troop build when you can just get every Scourge toy instead?

It's too bad Scourge makes no attempt to blend the HM's arms into his face, like all the other HMs have done. Dunno if space was an issue or if they were intentionally giving him antennae for whatever reason, but he looks rather bad compared to the others.

Awesome! Just grabbed Motormaster, Wheeljack, and Legends Groove today, which made up for the fact that Titans Return hasn't hit the shelves of stores in my area. (I've only been to Target today so I actually don't know about the rest)

Well the artwork looks like it has antennas. But that could be motion blur from the head attaching.

^ There's that, and the art does avoid being blindly literal (i.e. screws, those slots opposite ball joints, etc.). But it doesn't match Scourge's classic head design, so I kinda feel like I'm supposed to, well, pretend they don't exist.

New Galleries: Titans Return Leader Class Blaster with Twin Cast

Our next Transformers Titans Return gallery is also our first Leader class one for the line, as here at Seibertron.com we bring you a full look at Autobot communications expert Blaster, with Titan Master Twin Cast! The latter, of course, takes its name from the e-Hobby exclusive redeco of Blaster himself from his rebuild in the Headmasters animated series, as can be found here - and the name of our very own podcast - though now repurposed for the Headmaster/Titan Master instead.

Blaster, on the other hand, is the latest update for the Autobot from 1985, bringing robot, boombox and a passable base mode for Titan Master playability and cross-compatible with most figure classes in the Titans Retun line. Check out the full galleries by clicking on any of the images below!

Looks good! I don't know whether to get Soundwave or Blaster. Dead set on Galvatron though. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the head is messed up.. But I can just fix it by swapping it out for another. Maybe with the Voyager class Megatron that's rumored to be released. Wait, has that been confirmed to be a Headmaster?

I don't see any screws.. Are you and I looking at the same artwork? Or am I looking at a different one?

New Galleries: Titans Return Leader Class Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex

Fellow Seibertronians, hot on the heels of our Leader class Blaster galleries, and rounding out our galleries of the wave 1 leader class is Titans Return Leader Class Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex. This latest version of Optimus Prime is an extremely heavy retool of the Combiner Wars Leader class Ultra Magnus meant to be an reimagined update to his G1 counterpart, except that he is no longer a Powermaster. Instead Optimus has his Titanmaster Apex, whose name is derived from the Apex Armor which was additional armor the G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime could equip. Apex's head mode is based off of the Orion Pax toy, which was a redeco of the G1 Kup toy, and is, of course, the pre-Prime identity of Optimus Prime. So check out the gallery, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I'm a bit disappointed that there aren't any pictures in the Powermaster Optimus Prime gallery that shows us the Apex head attached to Prime's body without the external helmet, the way the Blaster gallery showed us the helmetless Twincast head attached to Blaster's body.

my optimus prime as a kid was power master prime - so I was really looking forward to this update. I also really dig the combiner wars ultra magnus mould so when this was announced i was over the moon. He doesn't disappoint though obviously part of me would love to have a cab that transformed into a mini prime... The base mode is a bit ridiculous and obviously an afterthought; Blaster's for example is much more convincing.

My two gripes with this guy are the re use of ultra magnus' black guns. In fact I don't think I'll be the only one to give each a matching pair. And he really needs ankle tilts more than Ultra magnus.

There's something about the plastic they're using that just looks...weird, especially on the Headmasters. It looks oddly coarse and grainy, almost as if it's 3D printed? It looks really, really bad when the Headmasters are in robot mode- the faces are barely discernible mushes, and the molding in general looks really rough. The lack of paint doesn't help either.

Also, that sparkly blue plastic Scourge and Fracas are molded from looks an awful lot like it'd be prone to GPS. I really hope I'm wrong but given the recent trend for wonky QC and cheap plastic...I'm worried.

I think the toughest thing on the headmasters is getting any detail onto the tiny robot faces let alone paint. Sieberton's incredible close-up's of the robot faces unfortunately brings out every blemish when in reality, the heads are so tiny you would barely notice some things without magnification (especially if you are over 35). Of the ones I have in hand, the plastic on all of them looks a little better than the photos, but the details are much harder to see with my own (aging) eyes.

I'm a little worried about GPS on Scourge myself, but so far he feels pretty solid.

Well, TT's managing to paint all the headmasters quite thoroughly in non-head mode, so, it can be done, hasbro simply isn't >:oP

Man, the PMOP toy looks so good (save for that very dull tannish shade of gray) that I just can't wait to see how Takara can possibly make it any "better" for their Super Ginrai version.

Speaking of which, I took some pics of him sporting just his Titan Master Apex noggin' without the traditional Optimus Prime helmet. I'll post them tomorrow for you guys to see.
