I got mine today..

AWESOME SET.. IMHO well worth the $$ I paid for it.
Thrust is FANTASTIC
Thundercracker is amazing
Dirge is nicer than I expected
Dreadwind is awesome
Bugbite is surprisingly better than I expected.

It comes with a folder and in that folder is the comic book and a certificate of authenticity. The certificate says that it is a 1100 piece limited set.
It mentions that tech specs and instructions but I did not get them.
Oh, it also comes with a nice Botcon pin.

Yes, I removed the rubsigns and placed Reprolabels insignias on them.

Sorry about the crappy pix but I need a new camera.

Games of deception is sold out already right?

If not, how could one go about purchasing it, other than actually attending botcon?

Completely sold out.. Unfortunately now the only way is Ebay and there you will pay a hefty price for the set or even some of the single figs.

Yeah, i knew it was available on ebay, but. I am not about to drop THAT much dough on these figures. What was the normal retail price of it originally? I'm just trying to get an idea of how outrageous the ebay prices are. :)

I think $179? I paid $279 at BotCon, but that includes some extras.

The bag sets were 179, but you can not get one without first getting a box set, which is 279.

So, it was really 279.

holy bjeezus.

It sounds like they're Trying to depress people that cannot afford their own hobby like little kids and teenagers that don't work yet and stuff:

"Mom, Dad, i want a classics Thrust!"

- "No, it's too expensive."

" "

*kid lives the rest of his/her life in perpetual sadness remembering the one that got away and writes a thread about it in the toy forum on seibertron.com more than a decade later*

I'm all for exclusive figures. I doubt there are many kids crying over this, and it makes the hobby a little more interesting from a collector's standpoint. The kids get the goofy gimmicks, the adults get the exclusive figures.

Out of fairness, though, I do feel all the seekers should have been put into regular distribution. Since Hasbro decided not to, the club came out and made it happen.

If not for the CC we may never have seen them made.

Yeah, i'm all for tf's being made, one way or the other. Preferably not KO or bootleeged stuff though (inferior quality). The WST Dinobots are a good example of good quality on the other hand.

So you paid full price but didn't get the instructions or tech specs? You got screwed a little there, I would complain to whoever you bought the set from.

The instructions and specs are underneath the foam.

I see that my Bugbite was not the only one that seems like the seams won't completely match up.

Um.. I already looked there and it is a big Nada...
That is why I posted that bit of info here.
I think someone from Master Collector posts here so I will attempt to contact them.

According to the general email that's recently gone out from FunPub to members sets being shipped internationally won't go out until Monday. Not a big deal, I'm more concerned with getting the right parts than when they actually reach me. This does seem like a slightly odd way of doing things though. I've been working despatch jobs for over 10 years and in my experience it has always been policy to prioritise export jobs over domestic jobs. Since this has been the case with three distinct employers I've always just considered it to be the way things should be done. Is industry standard different in the US or is this just a FunPub thing?

Don't you hate when you are tracking a package and it is in your local hub on days they don't deliver..

Could be worse. Tracking on my USPS shipment of A3/Weirdwolf has it leaving New Jersey last Tuesday and no update since then. Once it's out of the US it doesn't seem like they consider it to be their problem anymore.
