Oh woe - what to do with Optimus Prime
Posted: Tue Oct 18, 2016 7:52 pmThis is a thread about repaint potential for Combiner Wars or Titans Returns Optimus Prime toys and related characters.
I was just thinking about "Fire Guts God Ginrai" - would that concept work best as a Combiner Wars Optimus Prime in Orange with limbs that some how fit with the Japanese Cartoon.
Or would it work best as Voyager Titans Return Optimus (as it flies) in Orange deco. or is it better so save that for Toxitron (if Hasbro is up for it).
Which leaves the obvious choice which is a straight repaint of Takara Super Ginrai.
The only reason why I don't just assume that is that - Maybe if they wanted to make a variant of that they might want to go with Nucleon Quest Super Convoy or some sort of Grand Scourge upgrade instead.
So the question is which Optimus should get the Black Repaint (the Voyager as it looks the most like Scourge ?) or one of the other sizes.
If Hasbro repaints Leader Optimus what would they wanna do - Nemesis Prime - or even something unusual like G2 Combat Hero Prime reverse colours where he has a lot of blue on him.
That would kinda appeal to me - especially if backed up with some sort of Delta-Magnus toy - they'd look snazzy together I'd say.
But the Voyager again seems more suitable as it looks like the existing G2 Blue Prime.
Then there is the question of if Hasbro will choose to carry on with the Shattered Glass idea on their own now - or is Takara getting into it instead.
So who should be the body used Shattered Prime.
It is a little depressing that the perfect body For Toxitron arrives just as Funpub loose the convention rights.
