Hasbro's online shop could be so much better

I don't think I am the only one who feels this way.

I honestly don't understand why every current transformer isn't sold on Hasbro's official site for MSRP. Sure, they have some great stuff at MSRP but it seems that more than half the time I want a new bot it is not sold online for MSRP. This leaves scalpers to nearly double the price.

Currently I am looking for an RiD Warrior Ratchet. It should cost about 15$ or so in the store. It is not available on HasbroToyShop for that much. I the cheapest I have found it online is 29.99 + S/H which is not a fair price imho.

What is worse is HasrboToyShop is a disorganized mess of things no one wants. So unless you luck out and what you want is there its just kinda janky.

I think Hasbro needs to take point from Lego's online store. Lego has all of the latest and most desirable of it's products available in an easy to use layout. Wouldn't it be great if we could order everything off our want lists and consolidate shipping?

Just to prove my point, here is the same exact figure listed twice:

It was a life saver when I was collecting the sub-par Jurassic World figures, but honestly I do agree. Hasbro needs to put better care into their shop. I actually thought it was a browser compatibility issue there until I pulled IE/Edge/Whatever to see it's just as bad as it was in Chrome. Also their wish list thing is broken. You can add a few things to it, but you can't actually remove certain things from the wish list. It's broken basically.

It would also be nice if it had a UK equivalent.
Why doesn't it have a UK equivalent?

It did the shops wined and complained until Hasbro UK shut it down, considering the complete disinterest UK stores seem to have in selling toys properly - I would think Hasbro is missing a fortune in harder to find or larger items.

Fortmax being the obvious starting point of an item you would have a some difficulty finding many places to buy one in the UK (other than Tesco online).

Considering how often TRU is out of stock of Transformers and how Woolworth no longer exists then the least Hasbro UK could do is open a Amazon and eBay store.

But I also noticed Hasbro UK doesn't even have an official Twitter account that is active any longer. The last time I noticed it tweeted anything was when Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out.

I bet things like a Rogue One U-wing are going to be desirable pre-Xmas as IMPOSSIBLE to find.

I wrote an email to Hasbro about this because it has been bothering me so much. I don't think just one email is going to help but, if others speak up about it then perhaps something will change.

If they respond I might share that response if I have permission to do so. In the meantime here is what I sent to them.

Good luck, but don't expect anything to change. Hasbro has stated in the past that HTS was not designed to compete with other retailers as that would cause nothing but trouble for them. They'll always send stock to other retailers before the'll send it to HTS, and if it's an item that's hard to find at retail then it probably won't show up on HTS at all since those retailers take priority. That's why you'll HTS has Titans Return wave 2 Titan Masters, Legends, and Voyagers, but no Deluxe which is known to have been in short supply and not Soundwave which hasn't been seen at retail by many people. Same can be said for the more recent RID stuff. There were several Combiner Wars figures that never showed up on HTS as well and it's the ones that have been notoriously hard to find in the US like Hot Spot, Sky Lynx, and Legends Wreck-gar and Viper.

I got a response this morning! I am surprised that happened so quickly. Not sure if it is automated or not, I am always a bit of a skeptic. Here is to hoping something changes. If anything I am proud that I voiced my opinions instead of doing nothing.
