Eeeehhh... gotta say, even though I'm pre-retool; I don't feel very easy about a toy being nominated for toy-of-the-year when it's just a heavily edited version of a toy from a few years ago. It feels a bit like if a director's cut version of Up was released a few months ago in cinemas and it was nominated movie of the year. Great movie to be sure, but I can't help but think it'd be in the wrong category.

And surely there's better candidates! Blurr? Wolfwire? Astrotrain? Triggerhappy? Scorponok?

I don't consider Fort Max to even be a good Transformer (bricky robot turns into seemingly random arrangements of bricks) never mind a toy of the year contender.

Good point but come on it's still a transformer(that's what I say to myself when I'm REALLY disappointed with a transformer I've just bought)

Fortmax G1. Now that is a blunt trauma weapon/brick waiting to get used. Fortmax TR/TL is no way you can call a brick.An over sized teddy bear with hard angled edges but a brick?

It kind of has a simple Transformation, but the size makes it a solid pick.
