After the news we reported on yesterday, we now have confirmation of two new additions the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece line - starting with MP-37 Artfire! Using MP-35 Inferno as the base mold, of course, Artfire sports the predominantly white deco and some new accessories, including Targetmaster partner Nightstick. Check out some images below, courtesy of site sponsor TFSource, who also provides with price point ($139.99 USD) and expected release date (May 2017).

The Targetmaster can be held normally, or attach to the arm like in the Japanese cartoon.

So its still 140 but comes with less accessories than inferno and grapple.

I honestly wasn't expecting this so soon. Still, glad to see he comes with a new Targetmaster, I don't think the one that came with Hasbro's MP Hot Rod would've worked very well.

That Nightstick is friggin' great!

Please let this be a pre-cursor for Scourge and Cyclonus! I'd also love to see MP-28 Hot Rod re-released with Targetmaster Firebolt. This also gives me great hope for a Masterpiece Jazz and Stepper in the near future.

Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge weren't Targetmasters in Japan, so I doubt it

In any case this looks really friggin' awesome. I like the colours way better than Inferno and that targetmaster is so cool.

I would rather say different accessories than less. Sure, there is a smaller number, but many of the accessories for Grappel and Inferno are for aesthetic changes. Instead, they give Artfire a targetmaster partner, so another transforming figure. It seems like a fair trade off.

Also gotta consider that compared to a couple different heads, the Targetmaster is much bigger and is friggin' articulated. He's pretty much a Legends Class+ figure.

yay an announced toy i can miss out on - waiting for my inferno and red alert to arrive - I'm avoiding repaints where I can cos ya know... money

tbh wished hotrod came with a target master rather than some of his accessories.

Think they should look into doing Kup next from the movie and Jazz from the original Ark crew

While not a character I have any attachment to, he is just so pretty! And he has his Targetmaster! Just too cool!

Whew, good - another one I can skip. He looks really cool but I've already got Inferno and I have no attachment to Artfire as a character.

I have no idea who this Artfire is, nor do I care. I can easily skip this guy and not bat an eyelash.

I cancelled my MP Inferno pre-order because of lack of interest but mostly, money. THIS, however, is getting me exited.

But this time, I won't preorder. I'll wait until it's out AND I'll wait until I'm sure I have 200$CAN to spare.
