Please help, is this a sign that my Masterpiece's plastic is going to crack?

I just bought a Masterpiece MP4 Convoy on Ebay ("like new" condition) and when I was about to Transform him, I noticed a bright white spot on the hinge. Is this a bad sign that the plastic hinge is going to crack? The spot that I circled on the attached pic. Can you guys have a look?

Stress marks. Given how old the unit is, MP-04, you must be very careful. Try using a hair dryer to heat the area. The stress mark might go away after the heat application

Is it going to get worse over time? Do y'all think I should ask for a refund?

If you just bought it, that's an iffy. First, does the vendor accept returns? If the stress mark was not your fault, well, the unit is indeed old already. That should have been factored into your purpose choice. Lastly, you really love the figure/set of MP-04? If you do, well keep it but refrain from transforming him anymore.

Seller doesn't accept return but I am cover by "Ebay money back guarantee". I always want this figure, but it is sad that I discovered that stress mark.

Not sure what to do ;(

A mark like that is due to normal "wear and tear". If the seller lied and told you it was new, you could demand a refund, but if you knew you were buying a used product, then you got what you paid for.
