Different Kreon construction?

So I saw some Kreon Series 2 (Arcee, Groove, Lugnut, etc.) earlier at a dollar store, but they didn't have different codes on the bag. Instead they were all the same code. I thought that was weird so I went ahead and tried my luck.

I got Arcee, and all looks right, directions and all. I noticed right away that the neck peg and waist peg are hollow instead of solid. Also, there are slightly wider notches for articulation and under the arms for pressure relief on the ball joints.

Plus, the plastic feels slightly better around the hands and they're a smidge taller like Lego minifig hands (but still don't work as studs).

But the biggest and most noticable change is that it doesn't come with a 2x4x1 brick, but a 4x3 plate embossed with "KRE-O," but not painted in white like the bricks.

Has anybody else run into these? Are they some sort of elaborate KOs, or is Hasbro re-releasing the Kreon waves?

Those are indeed re-releases, but they're not straight reissues: in 2015 the main Kreon construction was retooled in some places as you may have noticed, and that version is used for every release ever since.

Those Market Six Kreons are also true blind bags unlike the first release, and have updated tampos. I couldn't make myself care about them but cool for anyone still in to Kreo looking for a fix.
