All you have to do is dedicate a huge work table with good lighting, and 5ish hours of uninterrupted time to it. Can't be that hard

Got mine today, 71241 :( (amazon UK, -no packaging just a delivery label stuck on his box) Will do the leg fix and the tail thing before transforming it when I've made some room, and then the fun of finding some room for him to fit on the shelves.
Definitely interested in the repro labels though I'm likely to be leaving the hasbro labels untouched like I did with metroplex.

Hey everyone, what was the fix for his chest door that keeps falling? Mine has barely any resistance left.

Yay... reprolabels are up for Trypticon on Toyhax, I've ordered mine :-D

&...YES! as well as the ones for Full Tilt ;)
(dunno why you have to pay for those separately though :-? you'd've thought that they could've just added those in with the Trypticon ones, without having to pay extra)

Well, mine was so warped that the top right side of the door was secured about a quarter inch before the top left. If one side hits before the other, it may be warped. In my case, I carefully heated the plastic with a hair dryer and gently flattened it on the counter. It secures nicely now.

With the door warped, it may put stress on one of the tabs holding the door in, causing it to pop out and thereby making it less secure.

I just did and MAN, that was a lot of work. Mainly because the stickers are really "soft". They tend to fold themselves over easily. Plus the paper peel too often with the sticker. That's pretty annoying.

Still, the final result is pretty satisfying. I even added some repros to enhance the towers and ramps of the city mode.

Speaking of which, that city mode is GLORIOUS! Not only is it HUGE, but it's a REAL transformation. Unlike Metroplex and Fortmax who are just sitting down and calling it a day.

That figure was expensive azfak but MAN, no regrets here. TR Trypticon is a sight to behold.
Still, I'd be pissed if it's suddenly found on sale at 100$ because they stupidly produced too much once again...

That's simply for those who chose to put in the original stickers, but wish their Full Tilt was less boring looking.

Like me.

Also, the Full Tilt sheet came many weeks first for that reason. Also, developing Trypticon's sheet may have taken some time.

Still, I'd really love to see an "upgrade" sticker set for those who applied the :HASBRO: stickers. Just to add a bit more "hoompf" without having to pay 40$ and do the stickers all over.

...so, one of the major discussions when Trypticon came out was the hip problem. But there's one thing I've been wondering. Sure, I don't want the hips on my copy to break, but...what if they do? Is it that big a deal? Would they still support the figure?

I guess it's not the end of the world, but definitely try to avoid it if you can. In my experience with the breakage (on my first Trypticon), it doesn't stop the figure from functioning but it definitely makes him the opposite of fun to do anything with.

Main symptom is that the joints feel bad when moving them, like plastic-twisting-and-tearing kind of bad. It's still possible to move the hips back and forth a little, and with a lot of force and little-to-no concern for the plastic you can still move them between dino/ship and city positions, but every time you do that it gets a little more broken and a little harder to move. (He will stay up though, especially if only one hip breaks - though personally, I wouldn't trust him to stay supported by a broken hip or two for any prolonged period of time.) If they do end up like this, you're best off just removing the ratchets and thickening up the pegs involved so that your Trypticon just has really tight friction joints for the hips - I think there were a couple tutorials for that floating around.

Of course, the best cure is prevention, so if you're worried about your Trypticon or think that the joints feel scary, consult your local GP do something to fix those ratchets ASAP (be it cutting the springs, replacing the springs altogether with weaker ones, or once again just straight-up removing the ratchets and tightening the friction). ;)^

Oh Agamemnon, you truly are worthy of Helen of Troy! That was exactly what I wanted to know and yes this means mine is warped. Will try this trick out once I am out of the hospital and find some time (just got a baby boy).

Also, I feel your pain on lack of sleep for the next 18 or so years. :-P (Mine are 13 and 11.) And, indeed, let us know if you can fix Trypt's chest door. But only after you take care of boy and mommy!!

Seriously, this was the most awesome, and unexpected news I have read in a long time. *high five*

Happiness and Health to you both and your baby Seibertronian WJ! :APPLAUSE:

So I'll be picking up Trypticon at my TRU this Tuesday and I was wondering is there something I can look out for to tell if mine is one of the good ones?

If there's nothing I'm really tempted on returning it and hoping for the best with :TAKARATOMY: . :VEHI:

Trust me, I know. I got lucky that I had the evening/night to myself. I think i finished at 3am that night. It was bittersweet, finished it, but too tired to enjoy once I was done.

HasTak definitely needs to rethink the sticker-rama of the Titans. A few is fine, but once the numbers are into the 100s, that is ludicrous.

Thank you so much guys. Seibertron truly has that family spirit and we see it in times like this. I wanted to share this with you as I would my own biological family. So here he is:

Ag, our kids have the same amount of years apart then, its the same I had with my own younger brother and I think it works really well.

As for Trypticon, it really seems like the storm is behind us. Mine has no ratchet problems with his hips and we havent heard of that issue resurfacing ever since he started being found readily at retail. It was the early cases that had the issue. But nomatter which one you get its not the end of the world. The first thing to do when you get a trypticon is to see how hard it is to move his hips along his ratchets. If the force feels way too strong, then you have one of the products with the issue. All you have to do to fix it, is to undo the hips, pull out the springs and either cut them in half or (if you dont want to cut anything) just loosen up the spring by compressing it yourself. Here is a helpful guide for that method which requires no cutting: http://www.bigangrytrev.com/titans-retu ... imple-fix/

Congrats Will, for your little boy! The family is growing strong!
I wonder if you'll be ready for "round 3"? :-?

Also, I just put back Trypticon into kaiju mode, I had absolutely no tail problems, no trap door problems, and the hips have no problems despite his size. Sure, the hip and knee ratchets are not perfect, but those joints must deal with this toy's MASSIVE weight. Also, Trypticon is a KAIJU, not a frigging ninja.

I'm looking at that big MOFO and once again, no regrets sacrificing 6 Movie Leaders for him. :x
