What should THAT tell Hasbro....?

I had the opposite experience, the only transformers that sold a significant amount by Tuesday morning was TLK Deluxe.

Proof that everything anyone sees is purely anecdotal. Like the time that all RID toys were sold out in my area.

Price and Release Date for Takara Tomy Transformers TC-09 Battle Command Optimus Prime

Thanks to a listing on Amazon.jp, we now know both the price and expected release date for Takara Tomy's Turbo Changer TC-09 Battle Command Optimus Prime figure (revealed back in October 2017). The toy with a mouthful of a name is listed on Amazon's site for ¥6,246 (approximately $60US), and the listing indicates that it will be released on April 21st, just under two months away.

As a bonus, it also seems that Turbo Changers TC-05 through TC-08 (that is: Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Grimlock) will be receiving re-releases at the same time to coincide with the release date of TC-09.

Check out the Amazon listings for each of these figures by clicking on their images below, and don't forget to share your thoughts by posting in the Energon Pub! We always want to hear your opinions. And as always, stay tuned to Seibertron.com for more Transformers news!

From the looks of it, it's a minor redeco of LA-01 Battle Command Optimus Prime, with TLK Voyager Prime's sword and shield added in. On that note, that toy used the same electronics system with the magnets as Stomp & Chomp Grimlock, but given the TLK line did away with that... :-?

O yeah, the One-Step Changers were released before in the main TLK line as "Speed Change" so-and-so, expect some changes from the US toys.

Of course, that set is not aimed at collectors. But a kid getting that Optimus set as a gift will go NUT! There's plenty of play value here. ;)^

The second YouTube promotional video from Takara Tomy features the Transformers: The Last Knight Turbo Changer and Big Turbo Changer lines, part of which was covered earlier this month in this post, and the latter of which were released by Hasbro under the Knight Armor sub-line, with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Megatron.

What we get to find out in the video are the new sounds that the Japanese release of the electronics featured in Battle Comand Optimus Prime as it interacts with TC-05 Bumblebee, TC-06 Optimus Prime, TC-07 Megatron, and TC-08 Grimlock. Check out below the embedded video, a couple of screenshots from it, and then join the conversation in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

Played with my (awesomely cheap at $7 a pop) Voyager Hound and Megatron, and both are pretty good. Hound does have a loose elbow joint, and a loose back panel, ugh. I suspect the metal pins weren't put in all the way through in those places... Megatron however is just perfect in all the right places.

Takara Tomy Transformers The Last Knight Turbo Changers Hot Rod, Drift, and Slug Images and Listings

In the ongoing tale of Takara releasing simplified Transformers well after Transformers: The Last Knight has rolled through theaters and DVD stands alike, we have 3 new listings and sets of images for you to check out in the form of 1-step Turbo Changers Drift, Hot Rod, and Slug!

These 3 figures were all released in the United States during The Last Knight toyline, and are now getting released by Takara. Hot Rod was only available in a 2-pack with Bumblebee, while Slug and Drift were available on their own. In a very strange twist, Slug and Drift come in the decos they sported in Age of Extinction, rather than the new paint schemes they used in The Last Knight. Why this decision was made, we do not know. All 3 figures are available via Amazon Japan, and you can go check out each listing by following the links above or by clicking any of their images below.

So TC-10 Autobot Hot Rod (Tongue-twister right there), TC-11 Autobot Drift, and TC-12 Dinobot Slug, released on July 21st. Of note that this is the first time Slug is available separately in Japan, as in the Lost Age he was part of a 4-pack with Silver Knight Optimus Prime, Helicopter Drift and Galvatron. Also, Drift uses the AoE mold instead of the TLK one which was released already.

Getting Hot-Rod this way is probably easier and cheaper than in the US.

Probably cheaper to buy from there than a US based seller too.

*BUMP*

I was just comparing TLK Legion Hot Rod with the Autobots United 2-pack redeco, and I suspect and it's actually a repaint instead of a true redeco because the plastic colors are the same: just the paint is different. Can anyone double check?

... and I just now realsised this is the TakaraTomy thread. D'Oh! #-o
