Good to know! Let us know if you find out any more information, particularly how to tell which version is in the package. As I recall, when I bought mine, there was no way to see the infamous "MAGA" tampograph in the package. Anything like a lot number or other change to the packaging would be helpful!

I walked into my nearest Target today and thought I was walking into a dream. They had at least one of everything from wave 1 minus Leader Prime.

I woke from the dream with these two in a sack on the passenger's seat next to me!


I left starscream for a later date/ pay period.

So I got Grimlock today. Aside lousy execution on the Dinomode design, a pretty solid figure. I would personally have included his energon sword at least so Volcanicus gets a weapon. Then I gave the Volcanicus transformation a go.

He tabs together well. His legs are what we should have gotten with Motormaster/Menasor in CW. Shoulders are solid. I've fit Dreadwind in to one of the arm pegs and no problems found. Can't wait to get the others.

As far as the Prime masters go, for a 5 dollar figure, they are friggin' cool. Not much else to say there.

Starscream sucks huge goat testicle. I was expecting a fail and still disappointed. He just doesn't do it for me in any way, nothing just looks right, and the transformation id's deluxe level simple. It's boring. If I didn't have a Starscream collection, I'd toss it to my kids.

Optimus prime....... I gotta say, I'm surprised how much I like this. Yeah, the truck mode is pure trash, but the Robot modes...... They are great. Pax is a bit on the simple side, and both robot modes have hella backpack syndrome.... but that evolved Prime mode is excellent. So great looking, and super posable. Both headsculpts are to die for as well. Very happy with this purchase.

How do you feel he compares to CW Leader Starscream?

Here's a random thought. What if Hasbro would have went with "rubsigns" for the Prime Master "faces"/symbols instead of sculpted detail? Double decoy! Or they could have gone the asshole route like they did with the Stat trading cards and randomized the PMs (Battle Beast style)

I personally loved the rubsigns, so a return to them would be cool by me, Cary!

Although I also really like their insignias encased in their spark (like the Beast Wars Neo figures) as well....

I actually liked the CW mold. I had to ask though because I just don't see a need for PotP Starscream when I have the CW version.

So yeah, I'll stick with CW Starscream and take a pass on this guy. (If he even gets released here)

Would be cool to see them go a different route with starscream, make him beige/grey with his glyphs with his movie protoform (toy) head for bot mode and his movie earth head for the combiner since it seems to take a few design cues from movie starscream

There's an upgrade kit for FoC Grimlock with a big sword and shield. Would fit perfectly to him, I guess.
I hoped that Perfect Effect would make a weapon kit for the Dinobots but so far they are just doing the same for the combiner as for the Combiner Wars ones meaning new hands and feet which can transform into generic weapons and a torso upgrade. Maybe Dr. Wu will do. That's more their kind of thing anyway.

I just got him like three days ago and i like him way better then the combiner wars. He's a bit bulky but not bad (i was playing with him right before i jumped on here.)

I think half of the problem is the forced combiner gimmick. It really limits the ability to design a figure. There was no need for it.

I'm pretty lukewarm on Screamer as well. I'm still glad I bought him and will probably buy Thundercracker and Skywarp too if they happen. I don't hate him as much as some of you, but yeah, there are some serious flaws. I'll rank his 4 (yes 4, bear with me) modes below.

Worst - Jet Mode. Pure trash. Hasbro really phoned it in here. Worse robot undercarriage than Silverbolt. Major flaws in the design and look. The flip down panels on the legs have some clearance issues on mine that don't allow it to tab in fully. I'm not even thinking of the stickers as a negative on this mode, there are too may other problems. Hasbro, have you ever seen a jets landing gear? The rear gear is tippy toes? The front gear is way too far forward, which makes the least sense because there is plenty of room for it to fold out the other way, where it would be in the right place.

Meh - Robot Mode. Just okay, don't hate it, don't love it. I do sort of like the wonky proportions with the Popeye forearms and the skinny thighs going into a giant pair of moon boots.

Good - Torso mode. Neat transformation. I like how the gauntlets cover the combiner pegs for the leg bots. Like many others, I'm calling his combined mode Megascream.

Which brings me to...

Best - Midget mode. I'll call him Miniscream. All the power and mass of a voyager packed into a package that is smaller than a deluxe. Ruthless, vindictive and charming, this is the Tyrion Lannister of this Game of Primes. I love him!!! I am actually going to headcanon him as Miniscream and the son of CW Starscream kind of like Dr. Evil and mini-me. (Warning, if you are doing this mode from the jet mode this mode, pull the legs out, flip the wings, then push the legs back in.)

Can't tell that well from the angle of the photo, but he's actually a little bit shorter than Dead End in that mode. Probably just about the same height as Battle Trap will be.

Finally found the Leaders yesterday. OP is excellent, and one side of the trailer had almost aligned stickers! The other side though it looked like someone without opposable thumbs slapped them vaguely into a spot near where they should go. Fixed the small ones, will have to see about the larger panels.

Rodimus is so close to being good it hurts. I love the size of the combined bot mode and the winnie mode isnt bad. I think at a $70 price point this would have been the figure everyone wanted.
