Well, got my Nemesis Prime today. What a nice surprise! Even went to my local Walmart and found the last 3 Terrorcons too. Not a bad haul for the day!
Now to prepare for TfCon in Toronto to spend the rest of my money...

You don't pay until the item is in stock, you can cancel anything in your stack that's not in stock yet without penalty, AND you can wait to ship any paid merchandise in your stack until you have $150 worth and get free shipping.

Why yes it is, ZeroWolf! It's Countdown and his Rocket Base -- it worked for appropriate scaling.

Also, I just found the wave2 Prime Masters at Target here in OR! I was hunting wave3 since I gave up, but they had plenty on the rack. No other classes for wave2/3, however.

Every time I spot Rodimus Prime on the shelf, I get excited, hoping I'll find Optimal Optimus right behind him, but it's just more Optimus Primes (i.e., wave 1) so far. FYI, Rodimus Prime is shipping with Optimal Optimus in Wave 3. Wave 2 was Rodimus Unicronus with Optimus Prime, I believe.

I never miss a micromaster actually if you added a cape to Abominus, it could have been a scene from the Transformers Zone anime

I was aware of that, however, thank you for the reminder. I was just focused on the proclamation that ALL of wave 3 has now been spotted at US retail, I cant find the news story about OpOp's first appearance.

In other exciting personal news, I was shocked to find out how much cash my son has saved up (grandparents on both sides gave both my kids cash gifts for finishing the school year with good grades). He now has nearly enough *I assume* to get the Throne of the Primes SDCC toy if he wanted. I had a long discussion with him, explaining the cost, and how much he could save if he just wanted a standard OpOp. But he wants to go for the exclusive, so more power to him. I told him I will try my best, once they become available on HTS, but I cant make any promises because they go fast, and we never know exactly when they'll become available.

Ok, take 2, since my wifi crapped out. Pissed I gotta type this all again...

So having had the wave 2 deluxes and Outback for a bit, here are some thoughts, added with the newly aquired Cutthroat!

Snarl: fantastic mold, probably the best beast former I have so far from Potp, and Blot is the only one that can beat him. His alt mode is my favorite dino, so that helps. He's spiky and fun, plain and simple. Get him.

Sludge: not bad, but boring. I wish his dino head and neck could fold closer to his body, but that's my lone gripe. Just wish he was a bit more exciting, but he's Sludge, not much more to him.

Rippersnapper is great, the Terrorcons are turning out great! Love all the gun storage on him too, it all blends nicely!

Cutthroat is pretty cool too. Neither he nor Swoop has a clear advantage or is clearly better than the other, but he is fun. I'm glad his ankles are solid though, makes him a much more stable limb.

Blackwing kinda disappointed me because of the wings. Air Raid nailed the Wings, and Blackwing basically undid was made Air Raid good. i really wish the wings could fold up. Super glad Dreadwing made it's way to PotP too.

Moonracer is alright. I do not like leg mode, and the car mode won't roll with the tabs on her back. Arm mode is her best mode, and her bot mode isn't very well balanced. I do like having her canopy down as a trenchcoat as well, she's Crosshairs sister!

Outback is a great mold with good paint and a killer head, he's a must get.

Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian westjames/notirish, we have news that Amazon Japan has added listings for Takara Tomy's Power of the Primes Wreck Gar and Nemesis Prime, and the listings feature new images. While both are set to be Hasbro exclusives, to Walgreens and Amazon, respectively, both are set to be mainline figures for Takara's line, with numerous pre-orders beginning to go up. These new images give us yet another great look at the pure evil of Nemesis Pax and Nemesis Prime, as well as some new shots of Wreck Gar, including a shot with him as an arm to the Inferno combiner with the Hasbro wave 3 Terrorcons as the other limbs.

A reminder that these figures are identical to their Hasbro counterparts.

I might have to paint up Wreck Gars Prime Armor, or at least the spikes so it looks more complete.

That Wreck Gar looks way better than he has any right to be, being a simple repaint of Unite Warriors Groove with new head. The color layout isn't particularly faithful to the original toy OR his G1 cartoon appearance. He's missing a lot of the classic "Wreck Gar" elements in his silhouette like the "perky" chest nubs/gun barrels and the asymmetric use of alt-mode kibble. About the only thing is that the chosen color pallet is pretty much correct, even if the colors are not all in exactly the right places. Somehow, though, it still works beautifully. He's still not going to replace my Transformers United Wreck Gar on my display shelf, but he will be a great limb for one of my combiners. Now, I just have to figure out which gestalt he will help complete.

Thanks for the heads up! I don't use Amazon often, but I still need all those figures except Blackwing.

If you've been confused about the availability of the Power of the Primes Nemesis Prime figure, you're not alone. He's popped in and out of availability for preorder on Amazon's U.S. site where he's set to be a Prime Day exclusive, and some people have even been able to place preorders, with delivery expected on Prime Day, which falls on July 17th this year.

Then, to add to the confusion, notice was received from Amazon by those who'd ordered him, that he'd be shipping and arriving earlier than that, on July 11th.



Well, either Prime Shipping is just that good, or Prime Day has come early, because fellow Seibertronian yours truly (Bounti76) received the sought after figure on the morning of Monday, July 9th!

Below are a few pictures showing him in hand, including the packaging he came in, which is slightly larger than the standard Leader Class box from the POTP line, as well as comparison photos with Combiner Wars Toxitron, who uses a headsculpt originally intended to be Nemesis Prime in that line before the decision was made to turn it into Toxitron.

And so the saga continues! Have any of you who were able to preorder him received your Nemesis Prime figures? Please let us know, and hopefully, those who still want the figure will be able to pick him up on Prime Day.

Glad you got yours Bounti! Haven't opened mine yet but was very happy to have him arrive this early. I'd assume more people will be getting theirs this week before Prime Day

I'm rather pleased as well. I passed on the regular Leader Optimus in POTP, so this is my only experience with this mold. Other than the feet being kind of hard to pose, he's very cool looking- I'm a pushover for a Nemesis/black Optimus deco.

And yes to the organization for this. POTP distribution for the entire line can best be described as a hot mess.

Did any of you want to wait until SDCC to finally see what Repugnus and Punch / Counterpunch were goint to look like? Well for those who couldn't wait, we have some images for you. And not just some blurry pics or part of the leg, but full on official images of the toys (and not renders either). These were uplaoded to the internet by Squigsquasher and also Tweeted by General Tekno.

As presumed, Repugnus shares the Twinferno and Grotusque mold with some remolding of his own. He does end up similar to several digibashes of the past year but with a much more prominant head, as we would hope.

Punch / Counterpunch is a true enigma since not only is it a new mold but while he represents the Power of the Primes portion of the Prime Wars, he does not appear to be able to combine. He does come with a special edition clear Prime Master.

These should be amazon exclusives and we will be sure to tell you when they will be available for order.

I'm both impressed and letdown at the same time. Impressed that they both look really good, mold-wise (save for Repugnus's unsightly abdomen). Letdown because Punch isn't a combiner and Repugnus looks like his robot head has no paint.

And couldn't the photographer be bothered lift up Punch's helmet to show his eyes for both of his robot modes?
