Brief question about Titan Returns Clones

So I've been lurking around and checking news on upcoming Transformer products, and when I saw Fastlane Fastclash and Pounce photos at the New York Toy Fair I put them on my mental "get" list. However upon browsing the recent threads related to Fastclash I noticed he's only going to be available in the boxset? The tfwiki lists Pounce as being released in another boxset(that has Tidal Wave if I recall).

So just to make sure, these are the only way these molds are going to be released?

What about Cloudraker and Wingspan? Did I miss any news about when/how they might be released?

According to Hasbro they are only being released in the boxed sets, which pretty much guarantees 4 sets. No word from Takara yet on their plans.

Yeah, I'm afraid unless Takara releases them individually (which I do have high hopes for, admittedly) you'll have to drop £400 on boxsets just to get a handful of Legends-class figures. Have fun!

Well drat :BANG_HEAD: . Kinda the answer I was expecting though, thanks for the responses.

And thus, they are off my "get" list, barring a simple Takara release, finding them on e-bay someday or running across them on clearance. Shame too as I always thought the Clones looked pretty cool.

Yeah; it especially hurts that - at least from in-hand experiences and pictures of Fastlane people have shared - they look like incredibly faithful updates, are fun little Legends dudes and have non-intrusive Titan Master interaction. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of them on a best-legends-of-TR list.

I would guess Takara will release them - possibly in twin packs by theme or perhaps singularly with a Headmaster like the other Legends class toys they have done.

Hasbro has said that all 4 clones will be released in 4 different boxsets. If you dont want to pay the boxset price either look for them individually on e-bay or wait to see if takara sells them individually (which might only be known in 2 years, no joke).

If anything, TakaraTomy will make them extra "G1-y", not just in deco, but by selling them in pairs like in G1: "Clonebot" for Fastlane and Cloudraker, and "Clonetron" for Pounce and Wingspan.

I am curious to how much the pairs will be designed to resemble each other this time. Considering they aren't being sold together (and we haven't even seen the other two yet) I wouldn't be surprised if the "clone" aspect isn't a big priority this time.
