Hi I'm new to the forum, I've been collecting Transformers figures now for the better part of 7 years. I've been mainly collecting the movie based figures and I'm always look for the best and most screen accurate as I can get. Lately I've been trying to find the most screen accurate version of Grimlock then what hasbro gave us, I own the hasbro version and it's grown on me over the last couple years since I got it when it came out. I know the only version out there that's on the internet that I can buy that's better then the hasbro version is the Takara Tomy Black Knight Grimlock and I like that one but it's no different from the hasbro one then just the color scheme is a little more accurate. Recently I've come across online is a very screen accurate custom version that was made by someone on here that goes by the name of tommy t and on YouTube goes by the name of delinquent prodigy. I've tried to reach out to him and ask him about that version of Grimlock he made, I'm asking everyone on here if anybody heard from him recently or know how to get a hold of him. Also if anybody on here can make a version similar to that version that tommy t made I would love to talk to that person and maybe work out a deal to get one made. If anybody can help me out I would love the input and I'm also excited to get to be on the forum with all the Transformers fans! Thank you!

I have the perfect thing for you, the gallery should have what you need. I searched Grimlock and put Transformers Movie universe.

What Wreckerjack is saying is that there may be versions of AoE Grimlock that you may not know about, but most are in his toy-standard gold deco.

That said, there are versions of the Leader Class Grimlock that are more like TakaraTomy Black Knight version, like the Platinum Edition from Hasbro:

He comes with a slight redeco of Leader Class Optimus Prime:

There's also a smaller, Voyager Class version that's been redecoed, with varying degrees of success, like the Plantium Edition Dinobots Unleashed version:

And the recently released Movie the Best Dinoride Grimlock by TakaraTomy:

And if you wait a little, there's an upcoming re-release for The Last Knight:

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the name Tommy T or Delinquent Prodigy in the custom field, but we do have customizers on here, they have their own separate forum:

Transtopia: Fan-Fiction, Artwork & Kitbashes

Welcome to the boards! If you find any nuts, let us know. ;)

I honestly wasn't around for a lot of the Bayformers toys. I do know that our gallery is the best resource for discovering toys and getting the best look at ones you are trying to compare.

I think the answer you are looking for is Styrene. I am not 100% sure as I only really do fixups so I don't do extensive customs. The hardest thing I ever did was fix the arm on a TFP Ratchet that needed a panel replaced. (I used styrofoam gleaned from a picnic plate because that was all I had acess to)

Anyway this guy makes some amazing customs so I would start with this vid:
