Widespread QC & Mis-Assembly issues on recent Transformers figures

So this is quite random and out of the blue, but I figured with all the QC issues people are starting to report in recent Generations figures and the like; I thought it would be apt to create a little resource by our board members for our board members to identify and educate everyone on QC and mis-assembly issues that are known to be prevalent in all or the vast majority of individual copies of a figure. Note that this is not for incidental issues reported in one or two copies of a figure - like, say, your TR Hardhead has a weak knee that few if any other copies of the figure have been reported to have - but ones that are known to be much more common, like Pyra Magna's knee mis-assembly. This is also not the place to rant on what you figure is a bad design choice in the figure; I don't like TR Galvatron's helmet gimmick either, but as far as I know it works as intended on all copies of the figure.

My hope is that this thread can be used as an easy reference for whatever purpose, and hopefully to help inform a buyer's purchase of the figures in question. If anyone has any suggestions for lists to include (this is mostly concerning recent figures since the general consensus seems to be that QC has taken a significant downgrade recently) or any other constructive criticism, feel free to let me know my PM or even in the thread itself. Though I would prefer PM just to keep things consistent.

A lot of TR heads in general just don't connect right to the body. Some can be finagled by turning the head's head (no I didn't stutter) backwards or some other angle, but a few still aren't very well connected after that.

Takara MP has several incidences of misassembly.

Ramjet case 1.

MP 10 case 2

Ironhide first release chrome oxidizing too fast (similar to the previous MP-05 cosmic rust)

I really have to wonder if the combination of new lead design team and new factory has anything to do with our QC issues? Can't be a cooincidence, we didn't have nearly as many issues until these two things took place. A line like Combiner Wars that really streamlined the design process shouldn't have had so many issues with QC.

QC has been all over the place since I started collecting in earnest. Doubles of the same missile launcher used to happen back in Cybertron. Not sure I ever did get that sorted out for Downshift.

That said, tracking things like factory assembly mistakes and known fragile points is a cool idea. Hope it sticks around :D

TR Megatron is awful QC wise. Okay in robot mode, but in the two alt modes... eesh. Tabs all over that either simply wont fit (like on the legs) or won't stay together when they do. At least mine doesn't have the apparently common problem I've seen in multiple youtubes where one of the wing pops off way too easily. Also the decepticon symbol on nosecone, it's okay on mine, but again, many youtubers have one that just doesn't stick down properly.

Am I the only one having troubles to close TR prime cab for the truck mode ?
I had to melt a little bit the peg to made it force in order to remain closed.
I can't find the root cause, the left shoulder doesn't want to stay flat for the transformation.

No issue with the Laser repaint from chaos of cybertron, so it's definitely more a QC issue than design flaw.

I think I have the same problem, his right shoulder won't fold all the way flat for vehicle mode because the grey panel sticks out a bit too far.

I may have spoken too soon, as today a wing came off. Not sure if it's the same one, as I was going tank -> jet while the ones I saw in videos was in robot mode. Went back on fine, hoping it's just a one time thing but....

Nose cone sticker's still okay but some of the wing stickers have been slightly acting up (you @$%@$%# wings, why you wont behave! )

At this point I'm glad I found Megs and not Blitzy, as I don't think I can take another mess of a Blitzwing after the awful CHUG.

Looks like we can add TR Trypticon's hips to the list of common breakage points. Oh boy.
