So got him returned him in exchange for a Submarauder instead since Bludgeon suffered a case of shortpacked (first time i've seen this) Wave 1 is still pegwarming the majority and only 2 Landmines left and i didn't want to risk getting another stinker :( (salvaging the prime figure and gun without the armor aint fun)

I don't get why Hasbro hasn't fixed the European wave yet. Be on the lookout for bad connectors.

Bludgeon is wave 3, Submarauder and Landmine are it for wave 2 so you aren't missing anything there.

Strange why only the 2 of them in one a single wave.
But is Bludgeon shortpacked, (less ammount than others in a per box) or "chase figure" or selling really really fast for usa/canadian stores where wave 3 is out?

Here's what the cases look like

Wave 2:
2x Leige Maximo with Skullgrin Armor
2x Vector Prime with Metalhawk Armor
4x Alchemist Prime with Submarauder Armor
4x Alpha Trion with Landmine Armor

Wave 3:
4x Quintus Prime with Bludgeon Armor
4x Megatronus with Bomb Burst Armor
4x Solus Prime with Octopunch Armor

They aren't really playing favorites with PM cases, but there are definitely more opportunities to get Metalhawk and Skullgrin. The should have put Waverider in their place so every case would be 4-4-4.

If Waverider had been released the who would his "Legendary Prime" partner have been?

I wonder if they will might make more Pretender armors in this size with the same name pilot in the suit.
Waverider
Groundbreaker
Splashdown
Sky High
Bugly
Finback
Bumblebee (Classics Pretenders)

I think the theory was Amalgamous Prime since the two have similar grays.

I'd love to see more Pretender armor, but I'm not really expecting more with Siege coming up.

I know others have had luck with wave 2 & 3, but I only ever encountered them once each at Target. I felt fortunate to have found 'em, and hope they continue to be available for those still hunting.

I would have liked a li'l Longtooth.

I lucked out with my Landmine it seems. No floppiness, though I stand by yellow plastic being the "cheapest" in terms of tolerances. In my experience, yellow plastic figures are the floppiest. Still looking for Submarauder, Bludgeon and Bomb-Burst.

That, but a more compelling argument is that the Waverider part is gang-molded with the Cloudburst part given it's immediate availability for Legends Grand Maximus, and the Amalgamous face plate with the Micronus one since the robot modes match exactly. :-B No idea who Prima and Nexus are paired with, other than Octopunch and Submarauder co-tools...

btw Megatronus and Solus were lovers, would that make Bomb-Burst and Octopunch lovers as well? :x

In any case i lucked on my second Landmine, the arms are more usable but not as tight as regular but at least he can use his gun just fine without his arms falling down from weight

Now i have all of wave 1 and 2 but im not sure if i want anyone else than bludgeon.

Here he is Landmine with me waiting for the bus to the mall.

At last, the 3 final Prime Masters! My only gripes are no accurate paint of the "inner bots" and Bomburst's weapon is the same as Skullgrin's but without paint. Appart that, they are very nice and complement the old G1s very well!

here is rating of those prime masters i own

vector prime/metalhawk:i like the introduction of a mostly obscure eastern pretender. love the vibrant colors and cannon. rating: 10/10

micronus/cloudburst: great design and the dual quad machine-gun if a little heavy. 8/10

skullgrin/liege maximo and submarauder/alchemist prime:
both have very evil designs which even look like great power rangers monsters. skullgrin's weapon is boring while submarauders trident easily looks like it fires blasts functions as a decent melee weapon too. 7,5 for both individually.

landmine/alpha trion: really good design and this shade looks better than his bright original yellow. vector primes gun works well here unfortunately the plastic is flawed is some of these, be careful. 6,5/10 (would be 8 if the plastic had less issues)

I'm curious, has anyone else suffered from a bad Landmine set? I've scouted Toys'R'Us here and after that 1 supply arrived 3 landmines were sold out of 4 and they still never inspect the sets for bad joints after i returned mine. no new stock has arrived.

I've seen the same last one sitting there for a month with one bad shoulder and Toys'R'Us hasnt sent it back and reported to Hasbro for a bad stock.

I don't think "stores reporting bad stock" is actually a thing, unless it poses a hazard, upon which a recall is initiated. If it's still in selling condition, it's hung back up.

But rest assured, later releases seem to have the joints fixed as I lucked out on mine. Still on the hunt for PotP Submarauder, but now Walmart put them on clearance... they never made it past Wave 1. :BANG_HEAD:

Yeah, mine that I got off HTS is solid as well. They were a late release so they probably did fix any mold issues. And I don't know what happened to Prime Masters at Walmart, mine never got past wave 1 either. I never once saw wave 2 in stores and wave 3 I got from Target.

My own Wal-Mart never have much stock on the shelves and pegs. But so far, they are the only ones up to date with the latest releases. Constantly since at least a year.

My case is different, i bought all of wave 1 in the same hobby store for geeks. But months later before after Submarauder and had Landmine had long arrived and afterwards, the hobbystore never got past wave 1.
Toys'R'Us was 2 months behind compared to the hobbystore with Pretenders but they received wave very quickly at the same time.
?
The hobbystore even had the nerve to ditch the smaller Titan Master weapons sets early before the end of the year making me miss out on Brawn.

My Fred Meyers got wave2, while wave3 is now coming in steadily at Target. My Landmine didn't suffer QC issues, fortunately....

One of my vintage stores recently got a motherlode of G1 Transformers from the late 80s, including Powermasters, Headmasters and Pretenders! He was asking $140 for a complete Bugly (pass), but he is pricing Chainclaw and Doubleheader now....here's hoping they're not astronomical.

I've already picked up Backstreet and Squeezeplay, and today, I bought Carnivac's pauldrons & gun (plus a minty inner-Carnivac, all for $40) as well as a complete Gunrunner ($45)!

OH SCORE!
It's always nice to find our local vintage store restocking on good stuff.

Mine is bare-bone of pretenders since months and months....
