But, like I said, I have heard bad reviews, and while I get the backpack may be bad, I don't really mind it. But, at the same time, I really wanna get mp-21

Usually if there is a widespread QC problem in a toy, video reviews that are all over YouTube will point them out.

I can officially say I have made a informed decision that I will get the mp-45 Bumblebee and take my 1st step into the masterpiece realm!

Congrats and be careful. That's one deep rabbit hole you're diving into.

A word of advise though. Avoid buying MPs from eBay. Especially those who come from China. It's Knock Off Central over there.

Well, I changed my mind on mp-45. After some talking, I have decided I will choose the right decision and go with the far superior mp-21.

Smart moove. MP-45 Bee is an overengineered and overpriced mess. MP-21 is way better all over, it's only "flaw" being not toon accurate.

On the subject of G1 2.0 releases, I was thinking the other day about Rodimus Prime. I'd like to think some day, we'll get a straight up, gimmick free Rodimus. No "inner Hot Rod", just the future Autobot Leader given his due. However, if they are making them more "show accurate", in style and not just aesthetic. Much as they did with Megatron MP-5 to MP-36. When it comes to Rodimus, that could be... problematic. :-?

I'd expect lots of panels origami resulting in a big but hollow vehicle.

I'm pretty sure it's possible.

Indeed. I'd foresee him being akin to Beast Wars Megatron's Bot Mode backpack, but on a far larger scale.

Yet, there's at least one Episode where he transforms like Optimus and there is an 'inner' Hotrod, I thought. :-?

Either way, I prefer the former.

Depends on which episode they decide to be accurate to. I think the detachable trailer would be the better approach, much simpler mechanically.

I think RP's trailer appeared more times than OP's.

As for his shins unfolding to become his trailer. If they managed to achieve it and keep the natural proportions of his legs, that would be an incredible feat of engineering wizardry. Eclipsing MP-36.

Well, it is going to take some doing to get these proportions of Bot to Vehicle Mode.

I know it's 3rd Party, but DX9's Carry pulled it off well enough. So it is physically possible.

Possible, yes. Should they? I hope not. I'd like to see a g1 you accurate trailer like the first version, just with a way better bot. However, if they did want to roll it all up into one thing but the robot mode was perfect, I'd be fine with that since I have no space for trailers anyway haha

Since we are headed towards a new year and new MPs, here is my updated MPM shelf that includes all but the original MPM 1 and 2, though I do have the molds those 2 figures use

Wow. Poor Trailbreaker and Jazz. Can't believe Skids gets it before some of the main dudes. Wtf.

Skids deserves more love than he gets.

Now just lower the price a bit ...

Skids before Galvatron. Geez.

TBH, I'd have thought Blaster would be in given the release of those cassettes a while ago.

I think something must've happened during the design processes that Blaster had to be pushed back. Ditto on Jazz, Trailbreaker, Galvatron, and all the other characters we're missing and think would be shoo-ins.
