Yesterday and Today I went to a few Targets in my area and NONE of them had ANYTHING new. Nothing but Deluxe Brawls, Wreckages, and Scorpunoks! I went several times today. THey never restocked. Several people, including myself asked Target employees to either check the back, or restock the empty pegs. The did not want to do so!!! B*stards! I HATE YOU TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They even put up a sign saying that due to the "collectivbility" of the Transformers toys, they will NOT being going back to the stock room for them. What a bunch of flippin' a-holes!
I am not going to Target any more, except for their damn exclusives, but otherwise they can go screw themselves out of business. Retards.
Finding 2008 Bumblebee is harder than it really should be.

Funny, I've had the exact opposite experience with the Targets around here. The two stores in town were sold out of Robo-Vision Prime almost immediately, so I called up the one in a neighbouring town about 30 minutes away. The guy was extremely helpful in tracking them down. Turns out that Target got five Robos and for whatever reason just never put them on the shelves. He found them still in the box they came to the store in in the back and held two of them for me while I drove out to pick them up. Awesome service.

I guess I never have any luck then...

I'm stuck with Evil Targets around me.

Yea, I've had people in Target bring out cases just for me to check if it as a new assortment. Not bad service if you ask me.
Though TRU still takes the cake by holding the movie store displays for me!

I need to move where you guys live then, because here, they will treat you like dirt. Here, they won't look, or even say when they will restock, nothing.

I've never had any bad luck with Target, just found Dreadwing at ours today! It's Wal-Mart that I've always had a problem with. All the ones around here just plain suck.

I actually know someone who works at my nearest Target. I went to school with him, and now I go to the same university as him (we study in different faculties, though). I should really try to use that connection, at least for the really hard-to-find stuff. Maybe a Deluxe '08 Bumblebee...

Welcome to the world of Transformers hunting. When your kids are crying "No Daddy, we don't want to stop at the store to look for toys" then you know you truly have a problem.
To be honest, don't expect retail stores to quickly put out toys just because the release date hits. It is not like DVD releases where there is a rush to update stock each week.

Yeah it's bad down here. I can't even find the other Bumblebee. It's as if it doesn't exist...

Wow sounds like your targets suck. My target is overflowing with movie crap. There is this Employee there that I see almost every time I go there, Thats really nice she gets stuff out of the back for me. So I got the new wave of deluxes like 2 days ago. But its just That Employee other then That employee's at targets are ass munchers.

The first couple of waves just hit a little more than a month ago. Waiting a few more days for restocks won't kill us. With the extreme visibility of the brand right now, we should all be happy the pegs are empty. It means people are buying and those dollars mean more figures for us.

I really wouldn't boycott all targets. I've noticed that individual stores tend to have their own cultures which spring from the attitiude of their management. I'm quite sure that the regional director of target would find an attitude like that to be unacceptable, which it is.
Luckily, the Target in my area is amazing. The employees there have always gone out of their way to look for things for me in the back, and have even held displays for me to take when they got done with them.
I'd honestly write an email to Target logging a complaint. At the least they might send you a 10 dollar giftcard saying sorry. Ya never know.

Meh, foe me, it depends on my mood. If I feel like chatting I'll let them know its for me, and very often they will strike up a converstion, if only to see if they can make a couple of bucks using their employee discount and then ebaying.
However, if I don't feel like talkingTFs I'll just tell them I'm picking up something for a kids Bday present and he wants this specific toy. Please help me find it. If you don't feel comfortable revealing that you are a collector, I would recommend the latter approach. It works quite smoothly.

Funny, the Targets around here are pretty great for the most part. It's WM and Meijer that are the crap stores.
WM sucks because they have chimpanzees running their toy sections, it's either feast or famine, mostly famine. And not to mention, WM is the most scapler-friendly retailer, they'll let anyone come in and steal entire cases before they ever hit the shelves.
Meijer is and always will be a joke. If you don't look like you make 6 digits, they'll follow you around and make you feel like a criminal for even being there. They are racists and classists. I have first hand experience of this, because I actually use my hands in my career, I am often dirty after work, so these idiots assume that I'm low-income, therefore a shoplifter. Gotta love that logic.
The joke is, I make 5 times the income of their average DM...
And TRU is run by collectors and scalpers, so, it is often few and far between when I actually get to something before an employee does.
Sorry that you had such a bad experience with Target, because they've been more friendly to me than any other retailer.

It wouldn't matter to me if the Target was god or bad, if we had one within 50 miles (one way) I'd be happy. Even a TRU would bring a smile to this guys face.
All I've got is an overstocking Super Walmart and a dead K-mart. Sad thing is, despite the fact that the Walmart actually gets alot of Wave 1 and 2, thanks to them stocking about 40 of them, we barely see any other waves. Not to get off track but when they stock the new Power Rangers around X-mas time, they generally sit tehre with the first and second wave until they get removed for the next series. The Transformers that aren't early movie are just Cybertron Demolisher and Ape Prime.
