Hi,

I wonder how you manage your collection ?

I'm currently building an Excel spreadsheet, but I don't find it very efficient.
I wonder if you have advices, softwares etc..

Try using Shmax, it started as a Transformers collection database. Just make an account and start adding stuff. You can even break stuff down by the condition it is in.

Wow, I was complaining my spreadsheet was not exhaustive enough, this one is maybe too much.
I'll give a try.

Do you use it ?

I don't other than what I manage to soak into the ol' noggin.

Surprisingly, it's been more effective than you might think. Only once have I bought something I already have, one of the Beast Hunters Abominus guys. I could only find a couple in stores, so I ordered the rest off the intarnets. In doing so, I got a little confused on one of the names, and ordered one I already had. I'm sure I could have returned it, but after accounting for shipping, being it's a cheap legends class, it wouldn't have been worth the hassle, so I just kept it sealed. Probably won't ever be worth anything, but stranger things have happened.

Gosh. Never happened to me, database or not.

But it's not for this I want a datable, but more to know exactly where I am on a very precise way, like how many deluxes, how many energon etc..
There's a difference between being able to tell "do I alreayd have this one ?" and being able to list all TFs in the collection.

For the moment I'm still on my spreadsheet. When motivated, I'll try a real database.
The website given by Emerje is nice, but focuses a lot on things like 'value' 'loose' etc, and not really on the TF themselves.

With my current spreadsheet I can do stats like this :

Not 100% perfect, still not sure how to Manage MPs and such inside, but it's a good start.

Why not try the Milton Bradley List as a Go-by and create a similar list you can use as a check off sheet? I plan to do one based on this version for All My Masterpiece Transformers, and do one for the Movie Masterpiece line. I also will do one for my Bootlegs, KOs, and 3rd party Formers as well.
