Metal Earth seems to have some competition. Another company that specialists in 3D metal model kits, MU, has acquired he license for Transformers and is releasing some unique offerings. One of them is the previously revealed highly detailed bust of Transformers: The Last Knight Megatron. They are also releasing a Sqweeks and an Optimus Prime bust as well as more G1 styled model kits such as a spitting image of Masterpiece Optimus Prime and a set of G1 Chibi-like figures. These can all be found on site sponsor Bigbadtoystore for prices ranging from $20-$60.

New 2018 Fully licensed Transformers 3D Metal Model Kits Featuring G1 Megatrona and TLK Bumblebee

3D model kits became a pretty big hit a couple of years ago, especially in the Asian market. Some companies acquired the Transformers licence and while there is a smaller output than before, the model kits coming out this year take it up a notch in terms of detail. Below you will see images of 2 model kits, one for G1 Megatron and another for Transformers: The Last Knight Bumblebee.

Both are a little upwards of $50 USD, offered on Ali Express. Rest assured, these are fully licensed kits, and the images below even include the licence agreement with Hasbro (something you don't see everyday). There is no need for glue for these kits, the metal pieces all have slots and tabs to connect with each other, though you will need tweasers. You can see all those small attachments all across the body of each of these if you take a close look. Both kits can take about 3 hours to complete.

Check out the images below, and you can click on the links below to be taken to their listing.

Three hours? HA!

I'd take about 10 times longer, and that's being generous to myself. They look good, but I seriously doubt I'd have the skill OR PATIENCE to do it.

Huh. These look like those metal earth things, I tried one and half the pieces broke trying to put it together. Maybe they’ll be better quality than those, who knows.

Also of note, that Bumblebee is labeled as TLK but that’s actually his DOTM design.

Megatron's face, particularly his mouth, remind me of this guy.

G1 Megs looks kinda neat all metal and such. Bee looks a tad too boxy.

Yeah, but he's got that TLK hammer so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
