I have the Buzzworthy release, I really think it's the best deluxe movie Bee. Transformation takes a bit to get used to, but the figure overall, especially in robot mode, is awesome.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with that assessment. Takara's MBM DotM Bee I think takes that award. Some may not like the black spoiler, but other than that it uses the updated DotM movie mold with a great paint.

https://reflector.tfw2005.com/transform ... bumblebee/

I don't see what so good about a teeny tiny Deluxe bee with super loose hips and an awkward transformation that doesn't let him tab in properly in vehicle mode.

Had he been 15% larger he would have been real good, and probably avoided the tabbing issues in car mode.

He's barely o.k at best, but has some real issues.

If size is the main complaint when comparing DOTM against SS, then SS will always come up short (pun alert). SS are all designed to be as close to in scale with the rest of the SS line as possible, not the previous toylines. There was a noticable decrease in size of the movie toys somewhere between DOTM and TLK with Studio Series being pretty close to scale with TLK and sharing some molds.

Fair point. Yes, I had not picked up anything from SS prior to this BB. As much as like the original figures and TLK Megs, SS just never did anything for me. I have been trying to get a cheap SS-32 or 44.

For the transformation and tabbing together, are you sure you didn't just get a defective one, are are maybe missing a step somewhere? Mine tabs together just fine and most others who have the mold haven't mentioned any problems either. I haven't messed with it in a while, so I can take a look and see if there is something that might cause the tabbing issue you are having.

Maybe I am missing a step, but the doors simply won't tab in no matter what I try. Not sure how far the feet need to be slid in, but it seems no matter what I do the doors won't sit flush with the body.

I can only manage to get one to tab in fully, but the other one just pops out of both the fender slot and the roof tab.

I think it might be the feet. The grey post needs to be pushed all the way into the black foot piece. like on the right below.

20210915_180435.jpg

Here is what it looks like all the way pushed in from the other side.

20210915_180444.jpg

Here is what both legs from the first photo look like from above tucked under the roof. On the left, the black foot is just starting to peek out from under the roof. On the right there is plenty of clearance under the roof. That is where the clear inside portion of the doors need to sit to have everything tab in.

20210915_180531.jpg

Hopefully this does the trick for you. As a heads up, mine almost had the opposite problem. Mine was in a bin in car mode for a while and the door part and the rear fenders that stay on his legs did not want to let go of each other. I had to work them free a little bit.

I don’t think Sideswipe was supposed to be available till later this year, but there he is! He has a new backdrop, and his bio mentions Sideways.

People have been finding the SS86 sweep and he wasn't suppose to release until November with Sideswipe. I guess Hasbro is just letting all the figures out now lol

These two arrived from Target.com today! The Bee is another great use of that mold and is such a prefect version. My copy has no trouble tabbing together and it looks great. Jolt is one of the stand outs of the year for me. He is probably in my top 5 figures so far. I can't believe how accurate they got him, but I do hope DNA makes some new whips for him. Now I think we only need The Fallen, Sideways, Demolishor, and the Twins for the RotF figures to be completed!

Wow, Hasbro wasn't kidding when they said their priority was getting product on the shelves no matter what. Including, as we've been seeing, no matter what supposed release date they may have been planning, making it look like a massive free for all. We just got the 13th wave of Studio Series deluxe toys with Gnaw and Jolt and now we have wave 14 showing up at Meijer. This is a remold of the DOTM Sideswipe we got and comes with a different background. This free for all in terms of wave schedules is probably to counter any pushback from the slowed down global supply chains in hope that enough product is on the shelves for the holiday season.

Nice! I just ordered Jolt from Target, expected to get here next week. I’m really excited!

'Getting product on the shelves no matter what"? Bull@%#*!. Four WalMarts produced a GRAND COMBINED TOTAL of 5 Transformers figures. 4 Netflix and a Blackarachnia in a spread of four stores. Until I see full shelves, I'll believe Hasbro as much as I believe politicians. I actually believe Hasbro even less.

I know my opinion and dollars mean diddly squat, but until I see actual product on shelves, they aren't getting squat from me monetarily. :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x

Makes sense, you can't give them any money cause there's nothing to buy. But remember, everyone's situation is different. While your stores may suck, others are seeing new product in their stores. It means the product has been reaching the companies that ordered them. Hasbro can't do much after that, it's Walmart and target that then decide which stores to send the product to. And we just know it's not your store right now.

Thanks. Its seems to almost want to peg in now but It still seems the foot cannot be slid all the way in as it interferes with the roof hinge if it is. Guess it's a bit of an acquired feel for where it's supposed to be slid in.

Yes, put it in a bin and don't use it.

That mold is a fiddly mess no matter what you do.

Which ones? SS-74 Bee has been available online for several weeks at least on Amazon and is available for pre-order on BBTS and TFSource.

Joltn is up for pre-order on BBTS and TFSource, but not Amazon.

No, Only the Sweep is up for pre-ordr, the rest aren’t available to even pre-order yet.

I’m waiting for Sideswipe and Waspinator myself.

Glad to see you all got to see my Jolt pics. he is a little limited in places, but overall I do really enjoy him. Him and Dino have made a nice pair of deluxe releases this year: not perfect, a few rough spots, but overall very nice and very happy to have them around.

Now to watch out for Sideswipe to finish off the year.

and I agree with EvasionModeBee: the new SS Camaro Bee mold is the best deluxe movie bee mold. They did a really good job with it.

I finally got my hands on SS Barricade. He's excellent, but his waist don't really tab into his torso. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Did some rearranging of my studio series figures. Devastator and wreckers are in another area. Can't wait to add more to these, hopefully more will be released next year.

No.

They've been largely avoiding AOE and TLK characters since they're less popular.

The TLK ones especially tended to be mere straight redecos anyway, so there's that too.

A shame because TLK Megatron is the best Megatron design ever.
