Classic camaro Bumblebee is officially the evasion mode Optimus of the studio series line. That WWII Bee however, delicious, more of that please!

Why would they recolor Crowbar and say he's Crankcase, when Crankcase looks identical to Berserker, who already has a mold that came out just last year? That's just dumb. Can't wait to see this shelfwarming every store (just like Berserker, LOL).

At least the others look good. WW2 Bee is probably buy on sight. Will probably still wait on some comparisons to older versions for 'Swipe and Barricade before I make a decision. Not really feeling a need for Clunker Bee.

Hope we see some voyagers for this wave soon, I'm dying to see a new Bonecrusher.

I really am enjoying Jazz. I am super glad I found all of wave 2 in stores, and in Target no less, and Jazz is so much fun. He's small yes, but lots of fun. I love the head sculpt and the posing power and the weapon he comes with. He's so much fun!

Brawl has grown on me. I really like how the chest ends up working for robot mode, and he is really intimidating with all that weaponry

Yeah but fans really wanted that rusty bee after seeing it be only 300 made at first. So now they can get it too. Dont know if it being less exclusive makes it less cool now.

Anyways, some things I wanted to point out for fun

- sideswipe’s weapons store as exhaust pipes
- swords incorporate into the alt-mode the like the original DOTM toy but there's an additional blade that ends up positioned flat under the car to recreate the paired, angled blade look.
- WWII Bee is based off a Humber Light Reconnaissance Car

What was he in the film?

A quick Google search says he was a Mercedes-Benz 770.

He was an open-top Mercedes-Benz car, tfwiki specifies it as a “cabriolet”.
This isn’t exact, but it’s pretty similar:

Liking what I see, except for Crankcase's head. They should have gone with Crowbar's body and Berserker's head.

I like what we're seeing, but I feel I would love the WWII Bumblebee more if it wasn't Bumblebee. I have nothing Bee as a character, but he just never fit that role for me personally. If I see it at a decent price I might pick it up. It's still great looking. Sideswipe's pretty good, as is Barricade. Don't know why Hasbro decided to repaint Berserker/Crankcase... Every store I've been too has them overstocked but I recognize that that's subjective. Maybe others liked the figure?

"Cabriolet" is another word for "convertible". It's French.

The most interesting is the ww2 bee

think the figure looks really good however it's hard for me to see that and say "bumblebee" - at first glance thought it was a hound or ironhide...

also it's quite a distinctive alt mode which we haven't seen too much of (the closest I can think off the top of my head is a micrometer big shot)

really like what they've done with the studio series but haven't been able to tip my toes in...

I wasn't a fan of this Barricade initially, but it's grown on me the more I look at it. WW2 Bee doesn't look too bad either. Sideswipe looks amazing and I dig the deco on "Crankcase" even if it looks nothing like the character. Clunker Bee looks too similar to the original in robot mode to justify buying both.

I really should get Brawl at some point so I can do these pics too. Hm I have a £2 off voucher from the seller I bought Ironhide from that runs out at end of September. I should probably use that.

I love how badass, squat and chunky Barricade looks in his official promo pic and how dynamic and flash Sideswipe looks in his. They definitely got those poses right.

Sure, they squeezed MPM like accuracy, but not MPM like engineering. The accuracy comes at a major cost that the chest is totally fake. I was looking at pics and its a complete solid piece which sucks hard.

So? As long as each part hides well in the opposite mode I'm fine with that (none of this silly 2007 Legends Jazz thing where the fake car front as chest is totally visible and ridiculous in car mode). A complex robot chest and a smooth car hood wasn't ever gonna be very feasible on a Deluxe figure. I love that his head is much close now to the front of his chest. The robot mode here looks absolutely superb leagues ahead of even the DotM figure (and yay they put the car rear end kibble behind his lower legs rather than the behind the thighs, thank you!). Definitely the Transformers figure I want most now.

They're really clutching at straws with these Deluxe Bumblebees now aren't they? That being said, WWII Bee looks good, if they make a WWII Hot Rod as well (not expecting it though) I'll pick them both up. I don't get why they didn't make Crankcase a straight repaint of Berserker, either way I'll be skipping him. Sideswipe and Barricade look great, but it's a shame Barricade doesn't come with a little Frenzy figure.

Honestly, I feel fake parts, especially the chest, goes against the essence of a Transforming toy.

It also greatly simplifies transformation and makes the engineering lazy. If all you care for is for it to look just like in the film, then why bother even make a transforming figure, just buy a non transforming action figure of him in bot mode.

Take these two below for instance, one is one of the greatest TFs ever made and the other is an unremarkable toy that is already being forgotten. And all due to the chest being fake or not.

Because then you'd be complaining about it not being a Transformers figure at all? If these are indeeded 'fake parts' as you call them then what's the alternative? An overly simplistic and inaccurate robot chest like we've had on previous figures or a totally messed up inaccurate car form? That Barricade there looks fantastic and accurate in both modes and if it needs 'fake parts' to do that then fine by me. It's not like it's partsforming or some other bullcrap.

And in regards to the Prime Cliffjumpers. I'm no fan of the design of the character but comparing the pics of the character to that toys, if I liked the character I'd go for the one on the right because it looks way more like him all over in torso, arms (aside from the short upper arms and long forearms though I like the thicker joints where the shoulders meet the torso compared to the other's scrawny ones), legs (much better shaped) and such and has a generally more consistent look while the one on the left looks very awkward amd ugly (and looks like the hands have car kibble under them which is a pet peeve of mine in TF toy design).

As I said before I don't mind 'fake parts' if they are justified and hidden at least reasonably well in the mode they're not part of and Barricade looks amazing in both modes. For a deluxe scale figure I really see no alternative because trying to make the smooth car front transform fully into the stylish and twisted robot mode chest would require far too many parts for a figure so small that it would be incredibly fiddly if it somehow managed to pack in all the joints required to even attempt it. And the sleekness of the car mode would be utterly ruined with the front being cluttered with seams where the panels would all be trying to line up. Which just reminds me of the awful 2008 Universe Ironhide and Ratchet mold with the vehicle mode looking far too messy and panel-heavy and abstract to be at all convincing as even a half decent earth vehicle disguise.

Why are we saying what Hasbro can and cant do? If we stopped innovation, we would not be where we are today. And once again your assessment of cliffjumper is purely based on looks and not the transformation, so transformation definitely takes a back seat in your assessment (leading to my comment about comparison to an actual non transforming figure).
