Packing him with Ravage and Laserbeak would break the film specific packaging theme that the Studio Series has. By putting Frenzy with 2007 Megs or with the AllSpark bots keeps with the theme.

Given the the various forms Laserbeak has he could have his own mini boxset

I dunno, they'd have to really break them from the scale the lines going for; especially frenzy as he was minuscule compared to other figures

Frenzy was just big enough to drive Barricade in the 2007 movie, maybe about the size of a tween human, so compared to a deluxe scaled Studio Series figure, Frenzy should be a bit smaller than even a Titan Master figure. That's tiny.

Transformers Studio Series Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime English Review

Thanks to Prime vs. Prime, we have a pair of brand new English reviews for the upcoming Studio Series Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime figures to share with you today!

The Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime figures are the first 2019 wave of Voyagers. Bonecrusher comes out rather short in robot mode, somewhat in scale with Prime but definitely short compared to his fellow 2007 Decepticon mates, as Prime vs. Prime points out in his review. While is doesn't appear all that detailed, he does have a nice range of posability in his claw and his legs, and you can get some pretty good range of movement out of him. He features the background of the highway bridge battle from the 2007 movie.

Optimus Prime is a retool of the original Studio Series Prime figure, but now with a more accurate chest and back, brighter colors, and the ability to combine with Jetfire. He also comes with a backdrop featuring his battle with Bonecrusher on the highway bridge.

Check out the reviews below, and let us know what you think of the long awaited update to Bonecrusher and this updated Prime in the comments section below!

Haha, well at least it comes to show that distribution is indeed improving :)
And no problem, was glad to help. I will let you know if I spot Ironhide on Amazon for a decent price.

There's no need for that now. Look what I found earlier this evening on my way home from work!

I also finally found Siege Optimus Prime and Megatron, along with Siege Shockwave! It was a VERY good night! I got all four at that same slightly out of the way on a longer route home Target that has been so good to me these past couple of months. I seriously need to check there more often.

With Studio Series Ironhide now in my possession, and Dropkick and two more Shadow Raiders on the way from Hasbro Toy Shop, I'm all caught up, and I finally feel ready for the 2019 line-up of the Studio Series! :D

As opposed to what, Decepticon Ironhide? /s

Yeah it is strange, have we ever seen Ironhide have the additional Autobot name added to his toys before?

Stranger is that the upcoming Siege doesn't seem to have that prefix. :-?

Now I wonder, does everyone's Studio Series box say "Autobot Ironhide," or does mine represent a running change?

My line of thought I'm using the deluxe size box having Dispensor as the core figure but packaging him with Frenzy, Steering Wheel, Nokia & XBox. similar to the Drift and mini dinobots

Bloody hell I love this figure. He just looks so darn beautiful in this highly detailed, old fogey robotness. Sculpt is great and even the paint ain't bad too.

They fixed almost EVERYTHING that was wrong with the original Studio Series Optimus Prime release! The colors are correct! The chest and abdomen are sculpted correctly! He's a bit taller and scales even better with the other figures in the line. The backpack is screen accurate now. He's got silver paint on the "chromed" parts of the vehicle instead of bare, dark gray plastic! Seriously, why couldn't Hasbro and Takara Tomy have gotten this right THE FIRST TIME? SS-05 is a total waste of time and money now. All it amounts to is an expensive pair of sword accessories for SS-32.

I'm really excited for this new take on movie Optimus Prime from the Studio Series, as you can tell. As soon as I get this, I'll probably sell off the Movie Advanced Voyager Optimus Prime I was still using in my collection due to the first Optimus Studio Release being so underwhelming.

Alright 2007 Megatron needs to be given the Leader Class treatment for Studio Series. I think it will be an injustice to give him the Voyager Class size. A big complain I have with the ROTF Megatron they released for Studio Series is the bloody hollowness of its body and how small it feels (in fact I dislike it because of this reason). 2007 Megatron needs to have this overwhelming feel in terms of scale, he needs to be scary and make you go wow on your first impression of him. Because gosh he was a BEAST and a force not to be taken lightly, and that's why he is my DEFINITE favourite live action Megatron so far. Besides, he is larger than Optimus Prime in the 2007 movie. Also, giving him the Leader Class size treatment allows room for extra attention to details. If you look closely he has a heck lot of details on his mold which is also a reason why I love 2007 Megatron. For Hasbro & Takara to forego the details would be a shame and a disappointment! Although I'm not gonna lie, designing the transformation mechanism for this guy will be a damn tough job.

Prime is crouched a lot in that picture, I think they are a lot closer in height then you think...

Yes while Megatron is taller then Prime in movie 1 he's still not "huge" by any means. Blackout is taller then he is.

Yap I know Optimus is crouched a lot in the picture I posted. Here's a more accurate representation. Megatron is 7 feet taller than Optimus Prime. 2007 Megatron is even taller than Blackout, of which I was pretty shocked to be honest with ya!

They are. According to the scale chart Megs is 35' and Prime is 28', it's only a 7' difference. And I'm not sure it's 100% accurate to their heights in the movie itself. But either way, while Megs is taller he's not monstrously so.

Also, those are promotional renders using a pre-final head design for Megatron.
Here's his finalized mug:

I loved that body for Megs, it's my 2nd favorite behind his Knight form. The tanker truck is rad and I have a special personal attachment to the type of truck he turns into. The beaten down Mad Max look really suits him. And his voyager always needed to be bigger, and now he's proper sized and spikier and has a far better cloak system. There really ins't anything I don't like about him yet

Studio Series RotF Megatron is one of the BIGGEST Voyager Class figures in the line, though. Even with the newly "embiggened" SS-32 Optimus Prime, SS-13 Megatron is still much taller than him, putting them at a pretty accurate on-screen scale with one another. I think a Leader Class 2007 Megatron would be a bit too big, unless it's a smaller sized Leader and compacts a lot in robot mode. I can see the Leader Class being a good way to get the alt mode right, though, especially with the wings.

Well remember, leader class is also parts count, '07 megs has no wings, so a lot of that mass is gonna have to panel-form into parts of his body some how, so he could be another small/high parts count leader figures, if I remember correctly he's 38 feet tall with o/p being about 28/30 feet; I think his feet could easily form his tail, and the arms would naturally form his prongs, I think they could use the tlk voyager transformation to turn his wings inot part of his legs and part of his body :-?

Not the biggest fan of the movies but i fell for the studio series toys.
