I know this is third party upgrade but i couldn't find the right thread and it's such a much needed upgrade about the one really bad thing about Studio Ironhide I thought it be ok here? Move it if I'm wrong please and sorry. :)

Wow, a great looking foldable bumper, more guns, and ankle tilts? That practically makes the figure nearly perfect! All they have to do now is give him wrist and waist rotations and he'll be perfect. This is the upgrade that people need

The figure already has wrist rotations. :) No chance of waist rotation cos of the transformation though but yeah this upgrade set looks so good.

Also edited my previous post to mention the guns are the DotM shotguns which are from the mexican stand off scene. :)
And I have Sideswipe already... and my TLK Berserker can be used as Crankcase (since the new Crankcase stupidly uses Crowbar mold instead) and I have a cheap Crowbar coming too! So once I have this kit I can recreate that scene. :D

For what reason (I do wish SS32 could fold those wheel arch things over like on SS05 but you won't be able to attach Jetfire's boots with SS05 legs)

SS32's lower legs can be easily removed since they're attached by simple screws. SS05 uses... I dunno what you call them but they ain't screws. Nothing to grip onto.

It’s the wheel arch things. When I get DOTM Prime I’ll be doing some upgrades (namely paint and longer smokestacks), But I’m also wondering if I could track down a cheap SS-05 for the lower legs since I think I’d actually prefer the folding arches over Jetfire Compatability on DOTM Prime.

That Ironhide kit looks great, I need those heavy iron rifles!

Yeah I understand but I really can't see how to remove SS05's lower legs at all. I just put the tip of a knife under the bolt or whatever is being used on that joint, to try and prise it off gently but the plastic of the leg around it starting bending instead and I was afraid I might damage it. SS32 (and I presume DotM) lower legs are far more easily removable due to using normal screws. I don't see how you can remove SS05's at all. Sorry. :/

Yay got RotF Starscream today from Amazon US for about £25 including shipping to the UK. Which is a great deal since SS voyagers cost £29.99 to £32.99 here in stores and I couldn't find this one in any shops remotely near me anyways. :)

All four combatants for the RotF forest fight. Well, Blackout standing in for Grindor. Still counts.

excuse my rough painting. i still got a long way to go to get good at things but they look better in person than photos. maybe.

I love the tattoo Starscream. That saw weapon is wonderful and is what I really wanted with that mold. The mold itself is really good too, they did a fantastic job with that figure.

I don't see why not. It would be as simple as unscrewing and/or popping balljoints. But would it transform the same? I dunno.

AH! Saw it coming. It's the thing that spoiled the whole figure for me.
Maybe I'll be motivated to get SS Ironhide if I ever see it on sale.

Woot! I finally found Bonecrusher and Optimus Prime 2.0 out in the wild earlier this evening at Target. Haven't had time to open them up yet, but I'll be getting to it soon. Having a voyager scaled Bonecrusher at last is exciting enough, but what I'm really pumped for is the improved Optimus Prime design that fixes almost everything wrong with the first Studio Series release.

It's a big improvement in many ways... though a slight downgrade in s a few minor areas. Overall though definitely the preferred figure and my fave voyager Optimus Prime ever.

Looking at the pre-order prices on various UK websites for the upcoming Siege figures, the Deluxes appear to be cheaper than before. £18.97 on Kapow for example with RRP being £19.99 which is a few quid cheaper than the £22.99 RRP of the first few waves. They're only £1 more than the Siege Deluxes (£17.97 on Kapow with RRP of £18.99). Studio Voyagers KSI Boss and Blockimus at £28.97 and DotM Leader Optimus Prime at £48.97
Anyways yeah they're all up there, DotM Prime, Drift(kick), Hightower and such and for those who are interested, all the Siege stuff too (Jetfire is £74.97, RRP £79.99 in case you wondered what his new size class costs, with Omega at £139.99)

Got Crowbar. He's ok. If I'd paid £22.99 RRP for him I'd feel very underwhelmed but I only paid £7.50 (plus a few quid postage) so am content. :) Needed him for the mexican stand off scene I'll be able to do when I get DNA Design's Ironhide upgrade kit that has his shotguns. :D
I far prefer Berserker (who's one of my fave decepticon robots) and it's still crazy that Hasbro are using a redeco of Crowbar for Crankcase rather than the Berserker mold that's based on Crankcase. Anyways Crowbar is fine. His dreads were quite warped and messy but I heated it up with the hairdryer (which I found amusing using on his 'hair') and then got all soft and floppy (heh) and drape much nicer now.

DSC_0698.jpg

Will probably give him some paint later on. I have a spare sheet of Berserker Toyhax labels (cos of an error) so I might do up his SUV mode with those to look like this:

So I don't think I got to finish my SS deluxe review, so here is the 3rd one: Barricade.

Barricade to me is the disappointment of the wave. He looks so darn good in both modes true, but the robot mode is so limited. no waist, they really needed to add a hip swivel and not just have it on a ball joint. He needs more leg movement, and he can't get any! He can't really pose much good! I also think he really needed his weapon modified or his arm modified for it, it looks a bit too goofy being held. And that backpack needed to rest closer to his body, it sticks out too far brazenly with nothing really between it and his body. And all that translucent plastic is a disaster waiting to happen.

So he looks good, but he really needed help moving. He was so close, those legs, weapon, and really the hood let him right now.

KSI Boss is such a disappointment to me. I was looking forward to it until I saw that they didn't even bother to give him a new head. I'd say he's tied with Crankcase for worst Studio Series figure. [-(

Not to be rude or anything but, did you really just realize those were Dropkick's legs until now, or are you being sarcastic? Because I'm pretty sure everyone noticed that on day 1 ;)

I agree with this, besides, who can say this isn't a more accurate Nitro Zeus, without a new head. Ehh, another chance at getting an awesome figure if you missed out on Nitro or Thundercracker ;)^

Plus this is a chance to get a nitro zeus figure with a better paint job, I never saw him at retail, and I couldn't nab him online either, so this is great for me >:oP
