I, too, have a lot of SS Grimlocks in my area. Though, that had always been the case since AoE. Movie Grimlock, in any form, has never sold well.

Anyone else with Studio Jetfire have these "yellow spots"? At first I thought it was a misprint run with mine (and the other I found @ Target) but now I see they're in the official pics on Pulse...

Does everyone else who has Jetfire also have these spots? They seem *really* out of place.

That yellow spot is an actual detail on the real SR-71, although on Jetfire it's a tad bigger than it is in real life.

Oh... so it is... but the extra spot on his foot seems *really* out of place. I'd put in an e-mail to Pulse customer service, and they passed it along... we'll see what they say. I'll keep everyone posted.

Dude, they're working off of official cg models, if the yellow spot is on the foot (which mine has as well) it's probably supposed to be there - I wouldn't be surprised if they designed him so his feet became the nose cone and the cockpit became his forehead (it's a very bay-verse thing to do).

Pretty close. Anything that Hasbro showed off at Toyfair was available for immediate pre-order on Hasbro Pulse when they launched the site. In order to not really piss off the various e-tailers, they allowed them to also open up the same figures for pre-order too. Figures that were already announced, but not available yet were left out in the cold for that round of pre-orders. The same thing happened for Siege, with Red Alert being available for pre-order, but his wavemates Brunt and Reflector are not. So it wasn't them forgetting about a wave, rather this all had to do with the launch of Hasbro Pulse.

yes thats exactly what it is. Were it not for the launch of pulse, then you would simply have gotten those new preorders 3 months later, close to release, which is what usually happens.

So I went through ROTF screenshots to see if I could find that yellow dot on Jetfire's foot (I was wondering if that was accurate or not either) - and as it turns out, he has them on both feet (you may have to zoom in).

Funny thing is, I've seen more Grimlocks than Blackouts too. And I agree, I think the movie fatigue with the Dinobots is sadly affecting this Grimlock, who is by far better than any other Grimlock we have gotten over the past many years in all lines. I feel the RiD Warrior was pretty decent but small, and the Fall of Cybertron one is one of my favorites of all time, though I understand that mold isn't really loved by many. and then there was PotP.

So sadly, the best Grimlock in recent memory is suffering from fatigue from figures that don't even come close to touching him.

Also, considering how many people love Blackout and seeing as how his last toy came out in 2008, I can understand why he flew away. Heh.

Or it could be because he's essentially a huge grey thing that most kids won't even realize is from a movie >:oP that's also $50

Eh, Blackout is also a large grey thing, just a different shade. And if one of the 2 appealed to kids, I would think a giant knight that is a dinosaur might win over a helicopter, even though kids love helicopters too

In the Twin Cities area, I can tell you that the "shelfwarming" Leader Class figure of the Studio Series is Blackout. Grimlock is a lot more rare. What's inspiring, though, is that the Shatter wave is reaching saturation pretty quickly. What's not great is that the Dropkick repacks are very obviously selling slowly. Did everyone have time to get everything they wanted from the Sideswipe and Barricade wave already? That seemed to come and go awfully fast. Same with Bonecrusher and 2007 Optimus prime. Btw, Bonecrusher is selling pretty slowly too, it seems.

...yeah, but it's still $50, and clearly that's not really working with people outside of the one's that specifically wanted him

I mean, it could apply to both, but, seriously, how iconic could movie grimlock be? He had all of 5 minutes of screentime and was in bot mode for about 20 seconds. Now you can argue that they could look at the back of the box and think it cool, but it's still a $50 toy, and it has a lot of competition for that money.

Down this way, I never even saw Barricade, not once! I saw Jazz twice and Ironhide 3 times, about 2 months apart each time. But car Shatter and chopper Dropkick are everywhere. Funny thing is, all this talk of Grimlock is making me think of buying him, since I don't actually have a complete movie Grimlock. I have an AoE leader that's just bare bones, he's missing all accessories. So as soon as SS Grimmy goes on sale I'll probably get him. If he does.

Right now, I'm still pulling for a leader class AoE Galvatron and a leader class DoTM Shockwave.

You'd be surprised how fast you can get reviews out when you're just using stolen figures >:oP

Or get them from the Philippines. If it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt they were stolen... >:oP

As far as I'm concerned if a reviewer isn't willing to show the box on their super early review (and why wouldn't they?) then they probably (not definitely) didn't get it through legitimate means.

Isn’t Long Haul in the same wave as DOTM Optimus? Pulse doesn’t show Prime coming into stock until September 1.

I don't understand, DOTM Optimus is leader class wave 3 while Long Haul is Voyager class wave 7

Waves in various size classes are rarely in synch for across the board.
