And mine doesn't. It clicks into place really solidly. Which makes me wonder if there's a difference between batches or something and if I should be doing something to help people spot it or...

I dunno.

Found this on Shapeways, its a replacement thumb piece for Devastator on Hightower that looks like the concept art.

https://www.shapeways.com/product/YJTCA ... arketplace

Heavily considering picking this up, as that claw just does not look right as a thumb.

Wow, thanks for the link, I’ll have to keep that in mind if I’m not 100% satisfied with the final Devastator product as it is.

Now I’m curious as to whether or not someone has made a proper hook for Hightower, but if not and if I actually get the scoop, then I’ll just use the claw.

I sent a message to the designer asking if they would ever make a hook, I am waiting on a response, as a hook is what I wanted the most to be fair.

The designer responded that they think its a great idea, and it didn't occur to them as they were pre-occupied with the thumb. They will look into it. Will keep updated. Really hope we get a hook, would be so good to make Devastator look correct!

Most likely will pop up once people get Overload in hand, as until then designers don't know how they'd connect to Devastator.

Found this guy at TJMaxx today, and while he is fun and cool, he highlights a weakness with SS: Why have we not gotten a Blitzwing? We don't even have one rumored. It seems strange for the 5th and final Earth-seen bot in the Bee movie to not have a toy yet

As far as I'm concerned, the claw is not the weird part of the thumb. For me, that would be Hightower's head.

Especially with Jeep Bee on the way, we definitely should be getting a Blitzwing at some point. I’m also wondering when Hatchet will show up. Also keeping in mind that we’re getting our first Wrecker later this year, we’ve got quite a few more Studio Series waves on the way!

Blitzwing stands out considering how long ago the cast who showed up on Earth were at least represented.

But they had better do all 3 Wreckers, if they commit to one, they had best commit to all 3

Finally, I have put together these 5 for a picture of my G1 crew. Can't wait to get 2007 Bee to complete the picture with the proper bodies!

also, still one of the most badass combinations ever done, spectacular. Well done on this toy

Thanks! I have been leaving Jetfire and Prime separate and leaving the original leaders combined, but this combo deserves some more time, it's very strong, and it's only real weakness is the large gun. Prime really needed ratchets in his arms to support it

You know, looking at the Autobot cast in SS so far, confirmed to be coming or having already been released, we have the entire movie 1 cast of bots, all in their bodies used, and we have all but Jolt and the Twins from RotF. We also have the entire AOE cast and the main TLK cast (those lines count, they scale with SS), aside from supporting characters like Canopy. We also have the entire Bee movie cast in all their bodies save Blitzwing and jet Shatter (though she is rumored).

DotM is missing it's entire supporting Autobot cast though. Roadbuster and Sentinel are rumored, but we are still missing a Que, Dino, and other 2 Wreckers. We really need a Dino before this line ends. DotM is getting the shaft here

Maybe they’re waiting till 2021 for the 10th anniversary of DOTM?

I agree though, we definitely need more DOTM in studio series. Looking at just the Autobots, we currently have
- Optimus
- Ratchet
- Sideswipe
- I guess you can count Ironhide since he doesn’t change between 07 and DOTM except for the rifles)
- Roadbuster (rumored)
- Sentinel Prime (rumored, if you consider him an Autobot.)
- Wheelie & Brains

So we’re missing
- Bumblebee (his model changes enough in DOTM to warrant a new figure)
- Topspin
- Leadfoot
- Que
- Dino

Speaking of DOTM, I think it’d be cool (like how Star Wars black series gets vehicles every now and then) if we got a Decepticon fighter/Orbital assault carrier from DOTM in studio series. Make it able to fit a deluxe, throw in either a Decepticon pilot or DOTM remold of Bumblebee and figures of Sam and Carly, I think it’d be super cool.
Edit: It should be able to transform between the different configurations in the movie

...My Rampage curse continues. Fifth one.

How strong are the pinned hinges on the chest supposed to be? If you have the figure's arms out to the side and hold it face down (like you might do while transforming it), should they stay in place, or is it normal for the weight to make them swing down? Is it possible I'm not cursed, just too picky?

The ones on mine are holding on. I do have slightly loose rivets in the shoulders, but only in certain positions.

Also, my Long Haul has some very minor plastic flashing on the right knee, and has trouble getting into truck mode thanks to the design on the arms and the tolerances on the joints in the legs preventing the truck bed from getting in place. The peg holes are already showing stress marks.

New Images of Upcoming Studio Series Figures Bumblebee, Soundwave, Megatron and Shockwave

Thanks to a tip from user Grimlock, we have several high quality images to share with you of some upcoming Studio Series figures! These images were posted to Weibo user NOTRAB's account. First up is SS-49, Bumblebee, in his 2007 concept Camaro mode, from the first live action movie. Unusually, these shots seem to be taken not in a studio, but in natural outdoor lighting. It makes for some really beautiful shots, and shows off his detailing very nicely.

Next up, we have SS-51, Deluxe Class Soundwave! These photos show that he's relatively slathered in a very nice silver paint scheme, and even compare him with his Dark of the Moon movie contemporary, Leader Class Megatron, for size comparison.

Following Soundwave, we have the '07 Movie version of Megatron, SS-54,a Voyager Class figure that appears to use at least the chest from his previous Voyager figure, but this time, is also covered in silver paint, both in robot and Cybertronian jet mode.

And finally, we have the red herring of Dark of the Moon, SS-56 Leader Class Shockwave! He looks appropriately menacing in his third toy incarnation.

I CANNOT wait for Bee, Soundwave, and Shockwave! Bee’s looking great (I do wish they had angled the wings back in the pictures though), these are probably the best pictures we have of Soundwave, and Shockwave looks like he walked right off of DOTM, I mean exactly like the CGI model.

I’m really hoping this wave gets here soon!

These all look beautiful, just wish they had thrown some blue on Soundwave to break up the color monotony.
