They're so tiny! I love them!

Anyway, the twins will come one way or another. We just have to wait and see.

The engineering for the twins does not need to be very complex, they are pretty dang straight forward transformers

You obviously haven't handled either RotF toy.

I did owned all the deluxes at some point. I can confirm that all the ROTF deluxes are quite fiddly and even the simpler DOTM ones were not "straightforward".

I still own both Human Alliance toys and they are very complicated to transform. Still fun though. Also, ROTF HA Mudflap is still worth a fortune on the secondary market.

I do wonder how Studio Series will handle the Twins? :-?

Hopefully there's a way to simplify them, because I HAVE handled the RotF toys, and I never want to again.

Personally, I'd rather handle the ROTF Deluxes any day over the DOTM Deluxes.

I own Tuner Skids and regular Mudflap and while I appreciate what the designers were aiming for, the car bits turned out troublesome on both. The arms on Mudflap are especially irritating with the clearances.

Should they attempt SS versions, the scale will hopefully make the designers rethink their strategies.

However they represented the twins in the ROTF line has no bearing in how they are going to handle them now. If they make them "half deluxe size", they will be simpler just by virtue of having less budget for each figure. The figures are based on character models, not other figures (well, except when they borrow tricks appropriate for the size class) so they'll just do the same thing they did with the Arcee bikes. The ROTF figures are complex because of the design philosophy and technology they used to arrive to accurate robot modes. The Studio Series design philosophy for delivering model accuracy is different and has technology a decade more advanced. I suspect that whatever we see when we get the Arcee sisters, is also what we can expect from a Skids & Mudflap figure set (because I'm on the "deluxe priced two-pack" camp, as that would be the most size accurate option and something this line seems pretty observant of).

New images of Studio series devastator. Looks a lot better not standing upright.

Well, he certainly looks a lot better, but the obvious mistranformation on certain areas still leave much to be desired >:oP

I've handled every deluxe Twin that has ever come out.

The transformation scheme itself is very straight forward, the toys before were more complex because they could be. SS can make good legends scale ones to make a deluxe 2-pack so they are in scale. They are proving that with 3 good legion Arcee sisters in a deluxe case, so i wouldn't doubt they could make a good Twin 2-pack.

I have ROTF Deluxe Skids, he's actually (IMO) a pretty fun, cool toy. An SS would be better no doubt, but I don't hate him at all.

The do have a 10 years of experience and tech advancement. So this may result in some interesting designs.

Easy pass on that Arcee/biker pack. Those one-legger hoppy things weren't much good when they first came out, and I don't see these are any better. The Bayverse fans can have this one...

The Bayverse fans can have EVERYTHING because there is not a single Bay figure you'll ever like.

But eh, it's just your usual hit-and-run Bay-hate comment. >:oP

Transformers Studio Series Devastator on Display at Dutch Comic Con

This past weekend in Utrecht, Netherlands, the Dutch Comic Con took place. As one might expect, there were Transformers on display, specifically, Studio Series Devastator. The following images come to us from Seibertronians Full-Tilt and D-Maximal Primal and show us a less upright Devastator, but still quite mistransformed- Scrapper and Scrapmetal/Hightower have still switched places. We do get a clearer look at the Mixmaster, Scrapper and Overload integration into the combiner as well, though they're still in their blue test colored plastic.

The remaining components of Studio Series Devastator are due out in the first quarter of 2020, and hopefully, we'll see final product shots of Scrapper and Overload in the next few months. So what do you think? Any more or less excited for the combined figure? Let us know what you think below!

I can't make head or tail about what I'm supposed to see here for this Devastator. The prototype colors sure don't help. I can still guess the total engineering is crazy and those who would have been diligent enough to gather the parts will have one HELL of an awesome combiner in the end.

Not sure who oversees the placement of things like this, but dang. Definitely a hot mess.
I could be wrong but they could have at least transformed Longhaul, Rampage, Hightower, and Scrapmetal closer to what they are suppose to be and perhaps on the right side. It is nice to see what it may look like, size wise but doesn’t look appealing looking like this.
Don’t get me wrong, I am anxious to see the final product and look forward to getting the rest of them but holy cow.

:-? :-? :-? :-?

Considering how long he has been known to exist and considering Overload and Scrapper are supposed to be in the next wave revealed, you would think they would know better by now.

I'm so excited and they keep teasing this, get it right and use the actual figures dammit!

I was pumped for this at the beginning but every time I see it I just don't like it. It's like it fell off the only ugly tree on Cybertron.

I am also disappointed with what I've seen so far, however I'm holding all judgement until I see a picture of the fully combined mode by someone who knows what they are doing.

Exactly this. this is just like when Superion and menasor were first revealed for CW with the wrong limbs and horribly posed and transformed, and those were much simpler components... and fewer
