Oof.
Hard to believe that this old outdated version still sell for 200$+.
And yet, while nobody's done any comparison pics yet, I think the new one is still about the same size as that old one.

All i need is my frikkin Overload and I can. I still love that old toy, still stands proudly in my collection too

I'm looking forward the comparison shots. It will be totally unfair because it would be like comparing MP-44 to a similarly sized Optimus in the "cheapo shampoo bottle" category!

Prime vs prime and many other people have shown pictures comparing the two figures together. Somewhere in this thread there are some more.

Frankly, I still kinda half-think that SS Devy should have been done in the same manner as that guy (except with the actual full team), because SS Long Haul and Rampage really suffered.

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to SS Leadfoot!
https://www.instagram.com/transformersofficial/?hl=en
(top post there, it's not letting me click on the actual post itself)

I think it looks super good (maybe the best looking SS Wrecker so far), and he comes with Steeljaw! Can't wait to pick it up.

TIL that Steeljaw is an actual character and not just the name for Lockdown's weird technorganic dogs.

Leadfoot comes with Steeljaw?

The absolute mad lads have done it!

Look at this good engine-doggo

Image

(One or both of these images would probably be good to include in the article for those who don't know why Steeljaw is included, the doggo was meant to be in DOTM at some point and transformed into Leadfoot's car-mode engine I believe)

I don't think I ever realized some of the concept art for Steeljaw gave him sunglasses like the other Wreckers.

I love it!

Transformers Studio Series SS-68 Leadfoot Revealed, Will Be a Target Exclusive

Thanks to several eagle-eyed Seibertronians, we have news from the official Transformers Facebook page that Leadfoot, the final Wrecker from the Dark of The Moon movie will be coming to the Studio Series line! He's listed as Studio Series 68, and will be a Target exclusive- as he's got a Target sponsor logo on his movie self, in order to be screen accurate, he'd have to be. Feast your eyes on three final SS Wrecker below!

As you probably noticed in one picture, he also comes with Steeljaw (not to be confused with the AOE Steeljaws).) Steeljaw was a concept 'bot for the movie, who would have transformed from Leadfoot's engine into a robotic dog, with the preliminary name of Warpath (Leadfoot had the preliminary name of Flash). Both can be seen in concept art below by Josh Nizzi.

Steeljaw did make it to plastic form and was included with the Human Alliance Leadfoot figure, though.

And one of the best parts of this reveal is that Leadfoot will be available for preorder beginning tomorrow, July 21st, at 9am EST, on Target's website, according to the Facebook post, which can be seen by clicking on any of the SS images above.

Are you excited for this reveal, now that you'll finally have all your SS Wreckers in armored up form, and the same size class? Let us know what you think below!

Leadfoot's looking really good. May pick up the other Wreckers, but I'm definitely going to snag him if I can. I don't know why, but I just really like his design  Plus, I like the extra guns and Steeljaw

While the gut could use a little more definition and not look like it's unaltered, I'm excited for this release, especially now that I can have A Deluxe Leadfoot without splashing far too much on the 2011 version.

Looks pretty cool.
Target exclusives normally don't get released in my country.

The weapon selection on this figure is pretty impressive, too: there’s 3 guns and 2 missile pods, all of which are removable. Reminds me of the old DOTM Topspin!

I’m not surprised because Target on his beer gut, but ugh. So tired of exclusives. Just hope he won’t be a pain in the rear like the Decepticon Clones have been for me.

Considering he's a DOTM character and not a G1 character who didn't get a new toy until Titans Return, and Studio Series's distribution seems less jacked..
I think he'll be a lot easier to get.

I mean Leadfoot kinda has to be a Target exclusive. Previous non-Target versions all dropped the branding.

Leadfoot! Steeljaw! Yes! Leadfoot looks pretty good, though he could use some paint on his thighs. But the amount of weapons and Steeljaw make up for it, IMO. Being a Target exclusive isn't the best, but at least he gets his Target logo. I'm just glad he's not a Red Card exclusive. Super excited for this guy.

Will you still think that if he's a Red Card exclusive?

As a Canadian I'm still salty about Redwing.

So the specifics of his exclusively wasn't mentioned, and could still be a Red Card exclusive?

Everything above his legs looks great, but his legs just being open red chunks of car with no detail doesn't really sit right with me. It is cool that he comes with Steeljaw, but I think I'm gonna pass, especially since I only felt meh about the other two Wreckers, and if I get one I'll have to get them all.

Plus if he's a Red Card exclusive I either need to be able to ignore it or want it enough to be mad again.

Deadput wrote:As a Canadian I'm still salty about Redwing.

I'm not even a Canadian, just a boring American, and I'M still salty about Redwing, Target's had multiple notable cybersecurity breaches in the past that I researched for a project a few years ago and it makes the thought of taking out a credit or debit card directly through them a laughable thought for me. The fact that the best-looking* Tetrajet is/was locked behind that potential/likely mess is maddening.

*I may be biased because I grew up on the Unicron Trilogy, and Redwing is Armada Screamer colors on a G1 Seeker and I love it.

Another Target exclusive? (Although, considering the logo he has on him, this one I get). Still, he's going to be fun to hunt down for anybody outside the U.S. I still hope we see the seekers and decepticon clone sets in Canada.

Is Leadfoot trying to dab in that photo?

Seriously though, this looks great, I wasn't expecting the inclusion of Steeljaw. I'll need to decide whether my Studio Series Autobot shelf really has a plave for the Wreckers, I wasn't really planning on getting them, but they're high up on my maybe pile.

Easy and much needed pass for me to catch up on some of the figures. I've never liked the bots with belly tumour designs even if it means missing out on characters.
