A previous pic suggested that Long Haul might have a more sandy deco.

Speaking of Skipjack, do we have confirmation of an assembly fix? And no, stock images don't count, as Skipjack's is just Rampage's recolored.

So I ran up to a couple of Targets in my area and asked them about Leadfoot. They said that they have stock but they’re street dated to 9/11 and will absolutely not sell them to anyone before that day due to the complaints about people buying up all the stock beforehand and breaking street dates. So that’s good I guess?

I'm guessing that with what happened with the g.i.joe snafu, they're gonna be taking much firmer stances with street dates

It’s exactly what it is. I asked them about their GI Joe stuff in addition to Leadfoot but they referenced the craze for them as the cause of their newfound strictness on street dates. I’ve managed to get a Beachhead but that’s the only one from the Cobra Island group I’ve been able to find, Roadblock is starting to shelfwarm here and Baroness and the Cobra Troopers are hard as nuts to find, and I refuse to pay aftermarket prices for them no matter how much I want them and how spangly they are. :(

Yep, that's definitely worth an extra $240.

Who said Long Haul was the only one to have changes?

The only changes that warrant a higher price would be more plastic added. A new paint job is mot, unless it makes the figures rare, and even then it's not worth double re price. But as it was said, it'll change once Hasbro gives their official amount.

(Man, I've waited a long time to say this)

BEHOLD - THE ETERNAL GLORY OF JETFIRE!

I found this guy at Walmart last night! I had a gift card I was saving for Topspin and Skipjack, but there's no way I'll see this guy in stores again.

I love this figure. It's incredible that they managed to pull off both modes so well and still have combination as an option - the only complaint I have is the beard and whiskers sticking out of the SR-71. The kibble besides that is spectacularly managed, though: it's kept really thin and evenly distributed. Glad he comes with both his axe and cane, and it's just an incredible figure all around. I won't be able to combine Jetfire with Optimus till late November, but that's something to look forward to! I'll have to get DOTM Prime's legs back from SS-05 so I can combine them.

Oh, and Mixmaster is almost done! Just have a few details in vehicle mode and combined mode left to tackle. Hoping to have it done this weekend.

just waiting on my Target pre-orders for Skipjack and Blitzwing, and Amazon to ship my Cliff

Nice, make sure to post what you think of them! I'm hoping I can go looking for Leadfoot later this week.

I really appreciate Studio Series' dedication to screen accuracy, but having parts on Jetfire actually break might be a bit much. :(

This was after just a few transformations, from what I've read it's fairly widespread. Anyone encounter this issue and have a fix? I have a pin remover that came with my SS Ironhide DNA upgrade kit, but that's back home along with my model cement and other stuff that might help in fixing this. Unfortunately, Jetfire's going to be a statue for the next couple months, but at least he's a very cool looking statue.

I will be posting thoughts, the Wreckers roster being complete is huge for me, I'm super excited!

I haven't encountered that as far as I can tell. My Jetfire is still pretty good.

On Jetfire, since I am reorganizing my shelves, I can't decide whether to uncombine him or not. I have the original leaders combined, so I should uncombine the new ones, but the 4 voyager Primes I have are all fulfilling different purposes: 1 Bee movie, 1 Bay movie, 1 with Jetfire, 1 with the DotM flight tech.

New arrivals

Some initial thoughts: Leadfoot is wonderfully chonky and feels nice and full. I am really digging him at the moment.

Soundwave isn't as bad as a bunch of people are saying. I actually like the satellite mode, it's fun for me.

Topspin is one of those rare figures where i think the new SS figure is a downgrade on the original DotM figure. The original is really strong, one of the best movie figures made, and this one just isn't as good it feels. also, the claws and guns are made from really soft plastic, I do not like it.

On another note, I have finally completed another dream: the completion of the DotM Wreckers in armored form and in scale with each other

Wow! The movie Wreckers look really good grouped up like that, makes me wonder if I should have picked Roadbuster up when I seen him at Target :-? How distracting is his backpack bits? And is the shoulder dealys on Topspin intrusive as well?

Roadbuster's backpack isn't that distracting, the armored bits are the visible ones, making him still look good and mean. And Topspin has some serious shoulder to him, but it isn't in the way, it's movie accurate and quite posable too

So some thoughts on some figures with some pictures.

Soundwave really isn't too bad. Is he simple and underpainted? sure. But he's still not bad, I like his satellite mode. It's how I'm going to display him

Image

Up next is Topspin. This is one figure where I feel like the SS figure is good, but the OG was better. I really like the DotM deluxe, and this one doesn't quite live up to it. But I am super happy with the sculpt (even if more yellow was needed) and I love having a field of Wreckers

And finally, have a shot of basically all my SS figures together with part of the cast awaiting updates, as a full 6-movie panoramic

I gave up on collecting SS a while ago, but I might pick up Blitzwing just because how good he looks. Definitely a prime repaint candidate.
