Heeeey I had question for some people who would actually know (those with collecting experience) aaand this seems like the best forum to do that.

So I'm fairly new to collecting, I'd always had TFs since I was a wee tot, but now I'm getting a lot more serious about it, and I was wondering:

I've been doing some research on flight stands and haven't found a whole lot. I want something that's clear and has a few points of articulation, and most of the, ones I've found have the whole claw/clamp deal as opposed to the 3mm peg option I'm shooting for. The best one I've foind so far is by obitsu which icludes the parts for both the peg and claw options, pics of which I've provided below, and I just wanted to know if any of you fine people had found any alternative options.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Also, I've found one by bandai called tamashii stage act 5 that seems to have what I need. If anyones used this called or knows of any other great flight stands I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!

Bandai's Tamashii Stages are pretty much the go-to as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there are better ones or cheaper ones somewhere out there but you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Tamashii stage. The two major versions are:
Act 3- designed for the lighter, humanoid figures, particularly the SH Figuarts line produced by bandai's under the Tamashii Nations subdivision (hence the name!), these have a good amount of poseability and a few options for attaching figures. Generally a 3mm peg which can be used directly or plugged into a couple of different types of claw.
Act 5- pretty much the same features as the act 3, but beefier. They have bigger bases and differently shaped posts, which have stiffer (or possibly even ratcheted) joints. This allows them to take more weight than the act 3; gundams, transformers, and.even the mostly die-cast soul of chogokin line get on fine I believe.

Personally, I only have an act 3 set (which actually comes with 3 stands) that I mainly use for Figuarts- but it'll happily take a deluxe in a flight pose or even a standing voyager that just needs a little more support. Not yet gotten round to getting an Act 5 so I can't be totally certain on everything I said above, but if you want to double check I'm sure there are written and video reviews floating around for them!

Sick, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I found some content reviewing the stage 5 and it looks like exactly what I need. And I had heard of the stage 3 but I had no idea it worked so well for even voyagers.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it really helped! This is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

Now it's time to go place some orders...

Bandai's Action Bases are nice as well, they're made to hold a lot of weight making them ideal for larger figures that those Tamashii stands aren't really made to hold up. They're also cheap, usually under $4, and plentiful. Just be prepared to build them like a Gundam kit.
